KOrean badazzes such as Jung Koo Chang is the greatest of all times at his weight. Homey, Ji Hoon Kim called out Roman Martinez and had the eye brow plucker running for the hills. That's fear.. Korea have many legends.. I know they have bigger balls than these PR fighters like Cotto, Cintron, and Juanma who either quits ( Margarito ) or jumps outa the mutha****in ring like superfly at the first sign of heat, and juanma who's scared shitless of Caballero. One this if for sure my friend. Korean fighters have better chins with a bigger hearts.
KOreans dont need to take a punch for a living cuz they grow up to be doctors, lawyers, singers, millionaire mob types, and just guys who take over the world. It's a superpower country. Nothing like the Boriquas who are owned by US. Run Run Run eyebrow pluckers!!
Koreans are pussies and they will never make a mark in the boxing world. Lets not even compare boxing histories between the two, you will not win. And Wilfredo Gomez is the best at his weight class of 122. Wanna put up a poll of who was better between Gomez and Chang?.....I promise you Chang won't win the poll.
Yeah and many PR in and out the US have become doctors, lawyers, singers. And the US is the most powerful country in the world so why would Puerto Rico be ashamed of being a US commonwealth?.......And don't you live in America, so by your logic you are owned by the US as well. And mob types?....LOL please give me a break, your people get slapped up and robbed by Blacks and Mexicans in LA on a daily basis.
Believe me my friend, Koreans are far from pussies. Look at our history and our boxers. There's no quit in any of them. We fought for our country too and we live on it. Takes BALLS... I respect Gomez but he had the luxury of fighting in a talent filled division so of course his resume is more impressive..
Not at all. Money runs the streets ( incase u didnt know ) and we have plenty of them to be keeping foos in line.. Boriquas i know are pussies. They are ***** made just like other of their current bxoers.
OQUENDO KO'S SONSONA! Puerto Rico's Jonathan Oquendo stopped Filipino Eden Sonsona in the ninth round seconds ago at the to win the NABO superbantamweight title at the Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot. The end came at the 1:05 mark of the ninth. Sonsona started strong in the earlier rounds, but a knockdown in the eighth frame seemed to have taken the fight out of him. A big right put down Sonsona for the first time in the eighth, and another right in the ninth finished off the Filipino. In an interview with ABS-CBN's Dyan Castillejo, Sonsona said the low blows from Oquendo seemed to have affected him in the fight, while trainers Buboy Fernandez and Nonoy Neri pointed out that the referee gave Oquendo enough time to recover. Sonsona apologized to the Filipino fans for his failure to win this one, but said he will make it up next time.
****! How were you guys watching this undercard? That's a pretty big upset, up there with Smith-Tyner last night. It would have been cool to see. :verysad
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=239054 Damn it, this thread slipped my notice. Oh well. Was Sonsona up on the cards when he got knocked out?
You live in Cali so you don't even know any PR's. But even you don't mean what you said. Koreans aint **** when it comes to anything related to being tough and deep down inside you know I'm speaking the truth.
To be fair, the Koreans that we see in the US are probably the cream of the crop, white collar, educated types. Not the thugs and hardasses. The Korean soldiers employed by the Japanese Imperial army in WW2 were known to be the most savage and brutal ones in the Japanese army. And their boxers consistently have some of the thickest, hardest skulls and some of the biggest hearts in the asia-pacific boxing circuit. (so-so punch resistance to the breadbasket, though)
I am Puerto Rican. And I have to say, forget about boxing, if you know anything about history, you will not talk about koreans like that. Go back to school.
Boxers, mixed martial artists, and kickboxers. They have a reputation as a tough bunch across all combat sports.
