he would do well to take advantage of physical attributes-tall, long arms-learn to box and be a better defensive fighter. his power isn't going to go away but, quite frankly, getting ko'd like he did against pavlik and AA will not serve him well in his boxing future or during retirement.

I agree with you, but why in the world do you have a avatar pic of Regina Halmich, she is a even bigger fraud then Ottke ever was!...But i give you that she is a bit better looking.

Depends how he lost. To be fair he was not shut out in either of his two losses.

Both KOs came in what looked like evenly matched fights up until the KO. As such, Miranda will still be dangerous to anyone.

He has to change trainers, not that his trainer is bad, but he needs a fresh start. He has to fight a few C level fighters to regain his confidence then step it up again. Brian Vera and John Duddy are two fighters he should focus on for the near future, they are good style matchups for him.

He just got knocked out from contending for any middleweight title in the near future. We got a possible PPV showdown between Kelly Pavlik and Arthur Abraham for the undisputed middleweight championship.

I think Miranda is the super middleweight version of Ricardo Mayorga. He is colorful, talks ****, hits hard, lacks some pure boxing skills, but always comes to fight. Edison Miranda is perfect for TV!

What he needs to do though is start over at this point. Take a few months off to heal up and then fight a tune up around Christmas time. Then step up to an ESPN main event, and then take another shot at a title.

The worse thing he could do at this point is jump right back into another big fight, especially with a big puncher.

He's gonna be a stepping stone for up and coming fighters...and yes he'll be like Mayorga is at this point in his career !

He'll always look good against journeymen and may have a surprize against a big name at some point but that's it...
