    According to Steve Kim Soto is struggling to make 130 and plans are underway for him to go up to 135 and fight Valero for the WBC lightweight title.

    Hopefully this comes off. Could be FOTY type stuff.


    Kim also mentioned there are plans for Daniel Santos to fight Ricardo Mayorga.

    people forget how mayorga is toe-to-toe with the world's top 5 p4p fighter...but i still say santos via decision

    Good stuff.

    The winner of Valero / Soto will be in a great position. If Santos wins it won't mean a whole lot but if Mayorga knocks him out, it will make him very marketable again.

    even though i'm sort of coming around towards valero, i'd confidently pick soto to knock him out. this guy flys under the radar of some fans, but he's one of the best fighters in the 130-135 weight range.

    if valero takes soto out in the same fashion he's done to the rest of his opponents, i'd be the first to make a thread here proclaiming him as the real deal
