You guys need to see the point I'm making.

I'm sure their fights are good, I enjoy em just like you do.

HOWEVER these orgs will slowly grow, purchase better fighters and gain credibility and legitimacy.

UFC and Pride established the game, brought in the mainstream and created the foundation and history for MMA.

When in ten years Cage, Elite and co start to rock the 'foundation and history' of MMA and YOUR sport begins to die then you have made your bed and you will be forced to sleep in it. Just like boxing fans are now having to suffer for embracing garbage like the WBO, IBF, Ring blah blah blah

They don't in boxing and I suspect MMA will become the same.

There aren't that many REAL HARDCORE fans in any sport.

People are way too quick to jump on fighters when they lose one fight . But look at Randy Couture, he dont have a very impressive W-L record. Obviously , he is a great fighter though. Upsets happen all the time in MMA. There is little margain for error, one mistake and a fight can be over. If a great fighter like GSP can lose to a guy like Serra, anything can happen! Although , for Cro Cops case he is probably just washed up. Shogun can come back with a vengence. Forrest was written off because he got careless and lost a fluke fight to Jardine. Who Forrest should of smashed.

Exactly. Most seem to forget that CC has had a long and famous career in the K1 as a boxer and as an MMA`er.His at the end of his career achieving the pinnacle at the OWGP. Shogun is a mere pup at 25 and has many years ahead of him but he comes into the fight completely ill disciplined and undertrained and Griffin does a job on him now all of a sudden his ledger means squat and ALL PRIDE fighters are ****.:patsch

Elite XC needs some work. It reminds me of the old UFC when it started. it seems some guys in there are guys right out of a bar or someone they picked up in a park and offered them 50$ to fight. Some of them really seem low caliber. However, I really do like how they have woman MMA in there. Especially with Gina Carano in there. But they really need to get higher caliber fighters cause UFC is way ahead.

    EliteXC signed Kimbo Slice .

"Though ProElite representatives would not comment, sources close to the situation indicate that Tank has also signed with the promotion and that the two ( Tank Abbot and Kimbo) will fight at ProElite's Nov. 10 EliteXC event in Corpus Christi, Texas."

You're worried about the belts turning into the ABCs in boxing, is that it? I can see your point.

There is a major difference , boxing is a world wide sport, and could operate with only one belt. Bob Arum fighters can fight Don King fighters , or Universum, or Gary Shaw , ETC, ETC. MMA is not like that at all.

MMA is all private companys that fight against only other signed fighters within one company. Only watching the UFC just means missing out many good fights.
