It was actually Leonard who broke down all the barriers for fighters like DLH, Pacman and Money to make their cake. Non-heavyweights were nickel and dimers by comparison before SRL. Say whatever you want about television networks, Howard Cosell and Mike Trainer. He cultivated that by way of insane talent and delivering the goods. Olympic Gold Medalist, burgeoning superstar before he even turned professional, first to earn over $100 million in fight purses (and he still has it), fought and beat the best on the world stage.

None of that **** has anything to do with the fact that he's not the greatest ever. Greatness is based on accomplishments in the ring, which is why Ray Robinson is clearly the greatest of all time despite the fact that he was an ******* and a woman beater himself.

Floyd is a terrific talent, but to say something like that is just an insult to all the great fighters who have come before.

If he wins this fight, and ends his career beating Pacquiao and Martinez then I think he has a claim to be the best that ever did it.

He probably already IS the greatest to ever do it, he just hasnt gotten the names on his record.

Okay, I was just trying to figure out your rationale, more than anything.

But without the elite tier competition to really prove what he can do against the absolute best, it's not worth talking about his skills with respect to decent but hardly great opponents.
Very talented fighter though, make no mistake, and I think one of the greats.
He really needs the Pacquiao fight to make a bigger claim for himself. I personally think he beats Pac, but he needs to prove that he can.

Easily one of the most talented fighters of all-time; I don't know that I'd call him outright superior to Duran, SRL, Arguello, Pea, Hearns, etc. Different styles. Matter of opinion and what you like; Resume is less debatable. Floyd has beat much of the top competition of his era (no matter what someone thinks of it), but others have almost inarguably done more and it can't be ignored.

    Just no!

It's biast and a stupid statement. But tbh what else is he going to say? He's just being smart, if you knew your boss, the guy who pays your wage was guna read about it. For example you worked as a bricklayer, you wouldn't turn around and say well we arnt the best company to do it etc etc.
