I didn't say Ray had a weaker chin than Shavers ,I just questioned Janitor's assumption that it was better. Two heavyweights spar and one drops another, no big deal, as I said on an earlier post,and you pointed out trying to play" Mr Clever "its sparring, however when a 6'2" 200lbs plus heavyweight is knocked spark out by a middleweight and he is being hypothetically matched with one of the acknowledged undisputed

I lean towards the idea that Ray did not have the best chin, but his stoppage losses in actual professional fights, leave room for it to be a bit better than Shavers.

I also think that Ray beat smarter fighters on the score cards.

Not much to go on, but it might tip it towards Ray.
