    If Kellerman kept his mouth shut for most of the fights and would occasionally say something funny and obnoxious that would be Larry Merchant ( although I truly believe Merchant to be much, much, mucho much more insightful than Kellerman. )

    I think its more that he was better at what he did before, which was more of a boxing talk show, attached to a live card.

    There he could prep his talking points and didn't have to come up with live comments that revealed his lack of spontaneity.

    I still think that if he's able to sit back and watch a fight two or three times he can come up with some good insites or if he's asked a question like how would this guy do against this guy. but as far as doing it all on the sper of the momment: its just not his thing.
