I think that you left out quite a fewfrom your list of Better ring smarts. What about

Fitzsimmons, Burns, Hart (maybe), Sullivan (maybe), Sharkey, Schmelling, Corbett, Braddock.

And that isnt including guys who were smarter in the ring, but didnt win the world title. GUys like Langford, Wills, Moore etc.

On the flip side, i will give you one thing, Foreman did have more ring smarts in his second career than he is given credit for. What he did there, i doubt many (if any) ATGs could have been as successful in that career (with the tools Foreman had at his disposal).

Schmeling is on the list. Corbett belongs, but Hart? Tell me more?

I think Braddock is an absolutley wonderful shout and I agree.

He was put on medication after his press conference fiascos. Watch Tyson before the fight, he just doesn't have ANY hunger in his eyes at all. I've never seen him look like that and I've seen every fight of his available on film, basically he was a walking zombie.

Did it affect the outcome? No, Lennox was simply too much for him at that stage, but it probably would of been more than a one round fight. I'm not saying he shouldn't of been put on something though, look what he did to poor Savarese and the ref:lol:

Schemling. Those are some other potentials. I made clear that it was champions otherwise my case falls apart. I wanted to list Moore but I knew he never won. From my understanding I don't think Sullivan belongs. Braddock is a good shout.

I've noticed that too. I thought it was just the inevitable of him knowing he was going to lose and that he couldn't bully Lennox. He seemed to say that in his documentary that he was hyping the fight for money. I think that he might not have put him being on medication in perspective.

That's a big thing. I remember the Beyond The Glory dealing with the contradiction of how it hurts his profession while it may be necessary for his life. Makes sense he was put on medication after the press conference fiasco.

 Yeah that was funny. Tyson can go mad and then calm down a later and start hugging the opponents. Quite the manic depressive. I honestly think he was bipolar but that's for another thread.

He usually was rather sportsman like when he won. (Althought his fight with Lou Savarese may have been an exception).

He broke apart mentally when he was in danger of losing.

After losses to Holyfield (first time) and Lewis, he did seem pretty humbled come to think of it.

I don't recall his demeanor after the last two losses of his career.

I always believed Tyson was trying his hardest to get out of fighting Lewis.
He didn't really want the fight but it was being pressed by everyone else in boxing.
