Classic denial response: It wasn't AJ's fault for losing, it was the trainer.

Maybe there is a man out there who could iron out a few wrinkles, but that's the best you could hope for at this stage of his career. No one will transform him. He is what he is: an incredible athlete and a competent world level boxer.

And let's not forget, after losing to Ruiz, Joshua brought in Angel Hernandez to whom many have attributed the change of style which saw Joshua try to outbox a much better technician in Usyk. So that change of personnel was hardly a success, was it?

McCracken, for all his faults, at least recognised AJ is best suited as an aggressive counter puncher because he isn't as highly skilled as some people liked to believe - and it was a style which served him pretty well until the past couple of years.

And it's not McCracken's fault Joshua has the gas tank of a Vespa scooter...

He needs someone who can help him believe in himself. He won't beat the top guys unless he commits to his punches again. He wasn't throwing nearly hard enough last night for what he needed, even before he got tired.

Olu, your dumb if you can’t see Joshua just isn’t the great fighter everyone thought he was. Manufactured, an broken down by a true fighter. No trainer can make up for the IQ disparity

You sound very upset. at your boy AJ's loss

Rob Mccracken is a major reason for all of AJ's previous success, without Mccracken he'd just be a regular joe bum like you.

Any trainer he hires could never get him to beat the superior, all time great Oleksandr Usyk.

You are clearly a fool if you don’t see McCracken’s limitations as a trainer. Also I am not very upset or even upset. Yes AJ is my guy who I am extremely proud of but I have high respect for Dr No Usyk.

The trainer also works as psychological support and punching bag, and while sacking them is even more common in women's tennis signaling "it was the coach's fault not mine" leaving that person in the dust, denial as you put it it bizarrely often works out, psychologically meaning, unloading the burden of failure and getting rid of him/her for a fresh start.

New trainer, new gym, new smells and some new looks would definitely benefit AJ cause Usyk read him like a book. Bring something unexpected, unpredictable, new or just refined, and he may land that big punch. I don't think he will, but the same AJ will get an even bigger beatdown from the same Usyk who got him figured out.

    Ann Wolfe perhaps?

Styles makes fights. I have always felt AJ will stop Fury but I have always been worried about Usyk for AJ because it requires special preparation and strategy which was lacking yesterday.

Also Floyd Mayweather himself if he would agree to do it would be beneficial.

He needs a time machine to bring back Emanuel Steward, but failing that having Wladimir Klitschko or Lennox Lewis during the training sessions would be beneficial. The problem is Lennox and Joshua do not get on and Wlad would not betray his countryman.

Someone needs to help Joshua to learn the smothering, leaning, pushing tactics of Kronk.

Also I agree McCracken needs to think about going, his advice last night was not going to change a thing. Emanuel would have told him to go out there and turn it into a street fight or to knock him out.

Mccracken had a bad night last night. But that doesn't take away all the success he's had with AJ before this pro and amateur. You're a fool if you don't realise Joshua would be a nobody, maybe still selling weed on the street, if it wasn't for Mccracken. No trainer would be able to improve him enough to beat Usyk. There's levels and the Briton of Irish-Nigerian descent is nowhere near the level of the great Ukrainian.

You sound extremely upset to me lol. You've probably not been this upset since that bum Ajose Olusegun failed at world level,

AJ should hire David Haye. Remember Haye created Chisora 2.0 in the first place.

The Wider idiots did the same thing after his loss. Blamed the trainer, blamed the heavy gimp suit, blamed Fury’s gloves, blamed everything but their Bumsquad leader.

The OP was one of the loudest voices predicting an easy KO for AJ. It’s no surprise he’s grasping at straws, trying to point fingers at other people. AJ was very fortunate they rang the bell early because he was about to go to sleep with one more punch.

Also, there was nothing to stop AJ making his own adjustments; he's an experienced pro well into the 2nd half of his career. It was pretty obvious after a round that Usyk was gonna play twister with Joshua's mind and body. He could have tried to make it a more physical fight. But he'd already been buzzed in round one and didn't want to commit. There was little a trainer could do to change the nature of the fight considering his charge's limitations, other than keep him in the contest for as long as possible and hope Usyk left an opening. He didn't...
