The point is, its time for Mayweather to prove in the ring and not virtually, that he beat the best at 147 where he belongs ! It just happens that Mosley is one of the best at 147 and is still good enough for a PBF victory to be quite meaningful and upgrade not only his overall status but true respect from boxing fans.

Sugar Ray Leonard got everyone's respect and ATG status by fighting the best guys at levels that were a real challenge to him. That's what's expected from a guy like Mayweather that claims openly to be the best ever without doing the necessary in the ring to be crowned that way !!!

Mayweather doesn't want it with Mosley or Cotto. I'm a fan of his but I know he's praying for a pacman victory.

He's p4p no 1,money,don't think he wants to go to 154 anymore where he clearly doesn't perform at his best.

FIght him because he is the champion of the division. Not Floyd Mayweather, not Manny Pacquiao, and not Paul Williams who has chosen to campaign at higher weights. Sugar Shane Mosley is the welterweight champion. Floyd either needs to fight him or go back into retirement.

Yeah cuz fighting Pacquiao is cherrypicking.

He even said he'd go down to 140 to cherrypick him.

I sincerely doubt that. He doesn't seem the type to blow his wad on a flashy lifestyle, he's made tons of cash over the years as a fighter and is now part of the most lucrative promotional team in the game. He's desperate for a big fight, yes - but not for the reasons you state. He knows time is winding down and if he doesn't land a Mayweather battle by 2010 he'll have to give up the ghost. He's just raging against the dying of a light, is all.

    You're overstating the Jin thing. It's a non-factor IMO.

If Mayweather fights and dominates Mosley by the end of 2010 I'll hail him as the greatest of my lifetime from 130-147

    His "time is up"? :rofl

I'm really starting to think he should have just carried Tony those last few rounds.

Would Floyd Mayweather fight Paul Williams..

Would Floyd Mayweather fight Ronald Winky Wright twice..? would Floyd Mayweather fight Veron Forrest.

Shane Mosley has took risks, and fought fighters he did'nt really really need to fight.

Good post. Mayweather will fight the winner of Cotto-Pacquiao, it is something that nearly all of boxing fans will demand.

Mosley doesn't stand a chance in getting a fight with Mayweather, let alone a chance in beating him as well. It aint gonna happen so all the Mosley nuthuggers should keep it quiet for a minute cause your **** is getting old.
