although i reckon enzo would win, having been near ringside for his last outing i hope he stays out of the ring, he has no punch resistance and winning this fight would mean fighting better opponents who could cause im some damage

Agreed, hes a good fighter, i think his punch resistance is'nt as bad as its been made out.Most ko's hes suffered were perfect meaty shots that could/would ko anyone. That said, i'd like it if he hung em up, lovely bloke and to late in the day for dramatic changes(weight). Why drop all that weight? To try to protect the chin ? Why not stay at cruiser and work on your defence if anything.....Are you hoping he comes through this so you could be next for him ?????? Personally would'nt like to see it, same as i did'nt want to see cook v gavin but thats boxing. When you out next bomber ??

 

the calzaghe camp never weight drain. they sweat down to the weight the feel comfortable at. bradley pryce made 130 when he was with another trainer. with enzo c he was 154-147
joe cal was a bit of flesh around the body but clearly a strong solid build, same with gavin rees, same with macca, lockett could of made 154 had he been forced to.


i think that was enzo calzaghes trade mark. don't drain them when you fight at what weights comfortable. flabby belly pryce crashing home on cut precise anthony small. as long as you don't tire due to the extra wight you have to push against then there is no reason weakening your self..


enzo smacked it with that part. not a great technician and not a good strategiser (new word, enjoy it). but i think he just caught lightning in a bottle with that.. probably didn't mean it but yeah.

conditioning ranks over power, precision and technique. as long as you can throw for 12 you are always there.



on the macca subject. he has probably got this. macintosh is awful. but knows what he is doing. he may be throwing wide shots but he knows that eh throws wide shots so he isnt overconfident with it. but enzo's defence was/is the issue nothing else. tosh isnt a big puncher. just confident on what he can do. enzo has to bull foreward. and impose

 

He's been hit by big punchers clean, his chin isn't that bad.

 

Thought dodson was getting a shot? It would be a shame that, I'd like Tony to have a chance and I would fancy him over Mcintosh. Maccarinelli at light heavy is interesting, his power at 175 could be like a 1 punch KO artist but the likes of bellew and I'd say Mcintosh both have enough power to stop him

 

Wish Enzo well, the guy obviously misses the ring and is still young enough and did make four defences of a world title. Not many light heavies will want to fight him, despite the chin question mark.
