The worst thing about Enzo Maccarinelli is the fact that even when he was under heavy pressure from Lebedev ( I was there at the event by the way.) He didnt have a clue what to do with himself, throwing wild punches with no real meaning and basically looking like a complete amateur, he couldnt even get close enough to tie the guy up and buy himself some valuable time without taking the big shots he was taking.

What begs the question is how this guy ever won a world title in the first place? Hes gone from being the main headliner on Frank Warren cards against the likes of David Haye, to fighting in empty arenas with nobody but the most hardened boxing fans bothering to watch him. What was most embarrassing was the fact that after his fight he came down to ringside and sat behind Frank Warren with a huge icepack over that nasty swelling and was in deep conversation with Frank Warren, i watched intently and i can only imagine that with the animated conversations they were having, Big Mac was trying to save his career. Should he really bother?

He seemed to be saying himself he was finnished straight after the fight.

What makes you think he was trying to get more fights from Warren?

Forgive me i haven't seen the post fight interview, didn't realize thats what Mac had said, i just remembered seeing him talking with Warren for some time and came to the conclusion that it would be in Enzo's nature not to want to quit as i have only all to well become used to seeing fighters try and cling on to there careers even after they should have long since retired.

Fair enough, I just thought maybe there was more to it than met the eye.

Macca was refreshingly honest I suppose but it was sad to see him saying things like "I've just not got it any more" on the clip thatv 46and0 posted the link to. I know what you mean that too many fighters do try and hold on too long.

I wonder what him and Warren were arguing about though.:think No doubt it will involve Warren being a **** but I'm curious as to his particular form of ****erry on this occaison.

I acquired a copy of it yeah. Trust me you're better off not seeing it. Two feelling each other out rounds and then Enzo getting decimated in the third, covering up, throwing nothing back and absorbing massive punishment. It wasn't a fight so much as an execution.

Enzo had the bravery to get in the ring but once he was in there the memories of those massive knockous must have overpowered him. His confidence was gone and he was being used as target practise. I think that Lebedev was pleased when the ref stopped it.

Man, as much as i rag on Enzo that **** was kinda brutal to watch.

Im not like Zakman and have no respect for fighters like the twat that he is, but Ill give it to Enzo for stepping in there with the tough Russian, cause he didn't have to.

Major props to Enzo, and i hope he is financially set with his invested money. Enjoy retirement Enzo! :thumbsup

I think Macaroni was done either way but you're right, that was criminally stupid matchmaking on the part of his handlers.

Unfortunately Enzo was crushed again. At least Khan salvaged the night against the light hitting but skilled Kotelink. Khan proved so much to the the doubters.

I will just add that it has been totally shocking Enzo's last few fights. When he fought Haye, we all thought it was the two best CruiserWeights in the World going at. But then Enzo was absolutely flattened by Ola, and now Lebedev.

Even David Haye said Enzo Mac was the best CruiserWeight in the World besides him.

This was Haye's best win? Haye will find that Vitali is better than Mac.

It is Hayes second best performance. The Mormeck fight were he got off the canvass to win is Haye s best. The Fragomeni fight was a huge struggle, against a guy in Fragomeni who would make a great HeavyWeight.
