I don't care if you've fought for the Middleweight Title, if you can't tell excellence when you see it, you don't know what your talking about. Yeah, he's right there for a left hook, but he would have slipped that punch, just like he slipped the jab.

Maybe its time for Erdei to look for new management, unless he's content with riding out his carreer & never becoming a mainstream fighter in his division.

From what I've seen of Erdei he is a decent fighter but beyond that I don't consider him a champion of anything. He has a padded record full of no-names and his lone significant accomplishment was a decision over a faded Michalczewski conqueror Gonzalez.

If he is a joke, his management is the punchline.

I think it's too late for him for such a move. He's got only a few fights left he'll most likely retire sooner than later - not a big draw for any management. He's not a crowd pleaser either and virtually unknown outside of Hungary and Germany. But I still think he'll get a bigger fight most likely against Green if the Aussie gets past Garay who's no pushover at all. That fight could sell quite well in Australia unless Green's camp wants another "megafight" with Mundine. It's the way Universum usually promotes their fighters: pad their records against cheap unknown fighters, collect some nice cash eachtime, keep the belt at all cost, and when the fighter's getting older they send him somewhere abroad for a nice final paycheck. It happened to Grigorian, Drews, Sturm (although different circumstances - he was still young but they got loads of cash for feeding him to ODLH) and they'll probably do that with Erdei, too. The only difference is that Erdei is still near his prime so he might very well beat Green even in Australia.

That jab wouldnt have hit him if he didnt move. That guy he is fighting in this clip is horrible. Yeah he is open for the left hook and the right and anyother shot. He lead that uppercut chin first. This guy is flawed and there is lays the reason that he hasnt fought anyone of note. As I said Erdei =DM.

there was an interview online somwhere about him.

in it he said 3 main things

    1) i want to remain undefeated when i retire
    2) i want to defend my belt as much as possible
    3) i am content with what i have achieved

these are signs of a man who knows where he is in the world but isnt sure in himself. im not saying he wont knok fools out he just isnt ballsy enough or have the self belif that he is the best in the world.

it's a shame becuase he is gonna lose one day. and the chance he losses to these less that 20 win fighters is goign to destroy his credability.

Honestly, I don't think he has any credibility to lose. He may not have the Ottke/Reid-type fight as a black mark on his resume, but basically he's shaping to be remembered as a nothing fighter on the world scene.

And that's a shame, because there is opportunity for him at 175.

The WBO ranking is really the problem. None of the top fighters are interested in fighting for Erdei's belt, they are all close to retirement and looking for big money fights.

Ulrich just blew his chance whe he lost his last fight, and Diaconu is interested in fighting Dawson.

Kuziemski would have been a much better foe than that American no-hoper with a padded record and a loss against another American no-hoper.

Odo, I've never seen Kuziemski in the ring. Would he give a good fight against Erdei? He's a feather fistet boxer with good amateur background. Is his defence good? What's your opinion on him?

P.S. Wilczewski - a SMW fighter from Poland beat him four times in the amatours. Just a curiosity.

The funny thing about Erdei being a joke, and he is a huge ****ing one at that, is he doesn't have to be.

He looks to be a pretty decent fighter and the lightheavyweights have not been that great during his run.

The division is old and Erdei could have probably done well on the world stage.

Oh well, some people like stinking like ass and Erdei is one of them.

Erdei is pissing me of, because he really is a good fighter. Someone on this thread said he has one of the best jabs in his division. I honestly think he has one of the very best jabs in the whole sport. And what does he do with it? Knock a bunch of club fighters silly. And here i was seriously believing he was about to fight a unification bout with Danny Green. Silly me.
BTW i don't put all of the blame on his promoter either, because it looks to me like he's VEEEEERY comfortable staying at home, fighting bums and making some nice money. He doesn't seem to mind it one bit.
