....Who did it for the fans. Fighters like Morales know why they get paid the bread they do, because the fans come out for them. Morales knows what the fans want to see, a fight, and he gave us one each and every time.
Morales easily Ko's this guy -- Morales in his prime is far better than Barrera, Pacquiao, and Hamed.
Well Assassin I agree with you here, prime for prime there's not much seperating Barrera and Morales(sure I know alot of people base the greatness on who beat Pac, in my opinion not a good way to judge)...this does not take away the fact that Morales would've owned Hamed in similar monumental fashion:deal and probably KO the prince..:good
Barrera got a gift ... and that was the last significant fight he won the rest of his career yet Morales went on to bigger things and beat everyone Barrera had faced.
Hamed by KO. Comes down to styles, Hamed's going to catch Morales plenty of times and even though Morales has an ATG chin, Hamed had the power to crack it. Morales was a great boxer, but always lacked defence and always got into firefights. Don't even compare it to Pac-Morales, Pac's power is very good, but comes from speed and he's always broken an opponent down with continous blows, Hamed hit WAY harder than Pac. There is no way Morales boxes a perfect fight here. On the flipside, I don't even like Hamed, Barrera beats him 10/10 times and Marquez beats him 10/10 times and stops him half of the time. Marquez would literally shut him out, Barrera beat him a clean 8-4, Marquez would OWN him.
Morales had better head movement, foot movemtn, more ring savvy, longer reach, better jab, and more power. Only thing Barrera had was the instinct to fight back, which stopped him from getting crushed. They were even defensivly... Morales showed that he would rather get knocked out than go out like a ***** ... I can't say the same for Barrera. I thought that Morales beat David Diaz ... and shouldve had a lightweight title to add to his impressive resume. Barrera could never win a lightweight title -- he couldn't even match up against PacMan. I think if Morales and PacMan met at lightweight -- Morales wouldn't have gotten knocked out twice.

I think Hamed can KO Morales in this one Morales is not the fastest boxer and likes to slug it out when push comes to shove. With Hamed's power this would not be a good idea. Hamed by KO in an extremely close fight.
Mate, Barrera outclassed him, but Hamed took 4 rounds cleanly. It was far from a shutout/schooling. What it you had was a great tactical performance from Barrera that resulted in him 'outclassing' Hamed. Tito/Hopkins was a 'schooling', Tito/Wright was a 'schooling'. Hardly did Hamed have his ass handed to him, even if it killed his pride. 115-112 Barrera was the score.
Barrera showed that you can outbox Hamed ... I think the difference if Morales and Hamed fought would be Morales' jab. I think his jab wouldve given Hamed fits and all that switching wouldn't have done anything. With Morales being naturally bigger I can't see Hamed knocking him out.
When Hamed switched to orthodox -- he ate alot of jabs and a few straight rights. Barrera did seem aware and scared of Hameds power and didn't elect tp engage him at all during the fight, fighting scarcely from the outside. Morales isn't like that and wouldve had more exchanges w/ Hamed. I don't get why Hamed retired and didn't make an attempt to go after Morales or rematch Barrera.
