i wud lovto have barrera and morales fight eahc other in a fourth fight for the fourth weight world title
I think he's already got this one locked. He's the most well liked boxer here in the Philippines, among the Mexican big 3. The man fights with the paying public's enjoyment in mind. Watching his fights make me involunatarily grit my teeth and the exchanges make me smile. Same with watching In Jin Chi. So imagine how much I enjoyed it when I saw the two dudes fight.
Like Chavez Erik had (and I'm sure still does) bags of grit and balls of steel, but I think the attribute that makes him stand apart from his countrymen was his athleticism, most Mexi's are sluggers and Erik the Great is no exception, but whereas they were straight-up fighting tanks with no steering wheel, Erik could dance, he was fleet of foot as well as having great handspeed when he stepped the gears up, it's just that he preferred not to be a slickster and just be a crowd-pleasing warrior. Again, with his amazing reflexes and unearthly long jab, he could have been the most physically-gifted technical lighter-weight fighter of our times, and I think if he HAD cultivated his defence and jab early on and brought them ought of mothballs against Pac II/III, you'd have seen a different set of results, but I digress.
why have the WBC made this for the international title ?....should a boxer nearly three years retired and from a different weight qualify to fight for this in his first fight back ?
