yep. that was his first fight @135 and the style match-up was all wrong for him. casa is a lot slower though and less active than raheem at this point so erik has a good chance vs. casa. but i rather see erik enjoy his retirement. he's also a promoter/manager, right?
Too fighters well past their best days - probably a close fight. I wouldn't be shocked if Morales could beat Casamayor now.
i wouldnt want to see this. cassa runs and holds. hits. holds. clinches. morales tries to make it a fight but nothing....bad match up and would get robbed if he were to make it a close fight....he got robbed against diaz and cassa just got a decision.....lol but for real....cassa wins a dirty, boring fight.
because they're both old. there should be burses to give them oxygen in between rounds and medicated patches when they joints lock up with rheumatism (sp?)
Erik has more of a chance than ever but who else is he going to fight? Can't do any better against DD and Juan Diaz would eat him alive so if you skip Guzman, Soto and Raheem you got guys like Katsidis and Nate Campbell who are still sharper and better settled in the division. Rather see him stay retired than try to lure Frietas outta retirement aswell.
That would be exciting in the early part but by the 8th or 9th round . . . it would be a hugfest. But take note people . . . Morales despite his age will give Casa more trouble than Sta Cruz did. I'll pick Morales. :yep
