I personally feel Marco has to give it one last war, break Sotos rhythm and snappier boxing (assuming that Barrera has little bite at 135) and hope his added experienced and refinement can pull him through on the cards. If Barrera had all he had in his prime going into the fight (completely ludicrous hypothetical of course) inwouldnt bank on him losing 3 rounds against Humberto. But at this stage of their careers, I feel Soto is just more suited to the weight. I will be rooting for Barrera BIG TIME on the night. Preparing to be disappinted, and thinking Soto coulda fought a more dangerous opponent. Ho-hum...
im gona e-mail primetime to try get this fight, going to beg them and with it being in mexico do u think it wud alot cheaper.
It'll be for Morales' WBC 147 interim diamond whatchacallit belt. Just saying 'Erik Morales v Willie Limond' is madness Very little chance of this being on US TV unfortunately let alone UK tele....its happening the same day as MAB-Soto and possibly Gamboa-Rojas....I doubt it will be broadcast on US PPV with those fights happening the same day.
Just hope Sky somehow land the fight! Really need to budget which fights I pay for around September as the first terms pay for my rent at uni always ****s me over - so nice freebies like this one (if sky get it) help give me a boxing fix.
Morales is over the hill but, in my opinion, not shot. Willie Limmond will earn a nice payday for the fight but I don't think he's got any hope at all of winning to be honest. Those 2 (or was it 3) years off for Erik have done him a lot of favours.
