the blacklock try in the grandfinal made me jump and scream on my couch, that day i said to myself at that moment, we have got this in the bag, for him to take it like that i thought no way in hell owuld they loose, seeing that clip makes me sad, that year was a great one were we by all rights should of won the grand final and we chocked... but on blacklock wat a fukn player he was, shame he never made origin he was a bourne tryscorer, i remember his try just before origin selections were coming up, were down to the tigers with a minute to go thommo throws a cutout ball tingha run and chips and regathers outsprinting a few tigers players everyone said tingha was a shoe in wat a disgrace he never made it.... hes a legend in many dragons fans eyes....

Whenever i think of the 99 gf i dont think of the penalty try i always think about Mundine dropping the ball via total hoggage play:deal .
First time I've seen footage of this game. I went to this game. It was my first grand final and the experience of being in a crowd of 108,000 was amazing. After looking at the footage, I think Mundine was right to go for the try (even though he had support). He was just dumb to drop it over the line. Blacklock's defence cost him an origin guernsey. He was a great attacking player though.
agreed he could of easily passed the ball to anyone on his outside and i would have celebrated my first grand final victory as a supporter....
Just a little word of advice, most ppl that lead the comp early dont win it, they are usually quickly run down and forgotten about pretty quickly :yep
