I'm being deadly serious though, what Pad Man said is right. It's in the interest of guaranteed fairness.

I'm more than confident that if we all have a definite same amount of potential points each week as everyone else then we will be the best team. But these challenges are ridiculous.

I'm not saying anything irrational. I'm not saying that points lost/gained in challenges thus far should be wiped, it's our own fault for not capitalising. I'm ready and willing to take that like a man, but I think from now on it should be changed, the past is the past, it's done, I'm a man about it.

It's all down to Mand and if he wants to run a league that champions guaranteed fair play week in week out or whether he wants to run a league which is rife with ambiguity,

You can't change the rules midway through a competition. It's definitely something to be discussed before we do another season (if we do) but I don't think you can change the rules at this stage.

Agreed with all of the above.

    Why not?

It's better to only go a couple of miles down the wrong road than 200.

fair point, I'm glad you see my point, I don't think we can categorically say we can't change it though, because it is in the interest of fairness. Why don't all of you captains have sit down and discuss it like true leaders? You should all have like a conference call on skype or something, make it like the sit down of the five families in the Godfather.

Ok what about challenges up till end of this month then scrapped?. Gives people a chance to catch up till end of the month.

I'm not bothered i think in a way the challenges have been slightly ruined but people not reading OP then not bothering to PM me and thinking i'm gonna read 5 pages back all the time.

If you want challenges scrapped vote.

great idea, I'm totally for this, as it's in the interest of fairness

lets make it official if possible before entrepeneurs have a chance to ruin this beautiful turn out yet again.

You are a great man Mand.

I agree with this. I have no problem with challenges really, but there's - to quote Karl Pilkington - a lotta faffin' when it comes to challenges. It's often disorganised and downright confusing. And unfair on yourself, of course.

I think we all need to get on a conference call via Skype and have a thorough discussion about it.

We can bring them in now, keep whats happened as it is and change things for future.

By making challenges per 4 fights, it gives the captain time to look over his players and see who's in form. When the 'challenge time' comes the stakes are higher and the captain backs his best performing players to make vital picks.

Challenges are major in terms of points. If we limit them as I propose it makes challenging more strategic and worthwhile. Most of all it's easier to tally and keep track off.

This thread with work could be the best on the board.

    another great post.

I'm glad you're speaking on it because if it was just me then I'd have the likes of Markboy just jumping all over me trolling me. But yourself, Sports, me, Lunny, even Mand himself all realise it's the best thing to do.

this is a fair and just way to go about it, but I just know that it won't work out. Too many entrepeneurs and too few good sportsmen occupying the important positions. Sigh.
