This is a pretty decent division by British standards. Honeyhan, Stracey, Kid Lewis, Colin Jones, Ernie Roderick, Dave Green, Kirkland Laing to name but a few.

Please post and discuss you lists/ candidates. Closing date, mid March (ish)

The rules and regs are still the same. To be considered a fighter must have EITHER been born in Britain OR Eire ORhave fought for a British title.

Please rank 10 fighters, the scoring will be as follows:

    25 points for your #1.
    15 for #2.
    12 for #3.
    10 for #4.
    8 for #5.
    5 for #6.
    4 for #7.
    3 for #8.
    2 for #9.
    1 for #10.

I don't know how anyone can rank Brook above Dave "Boy" Green at this stage or the others you have listed below him.

Hatton at number 5? He's a career 140. Had two meaningful fights at 147 and went 1-1 in those fights.

You can argue in his earlier career he fought at 142 etc but he shouldn't ranked that high on a 147 list.

in one of those fights he won a world title which is a higher honour than those below him on the list. in the other he went 10 rounds with a fighter thats one of the best off all time.

Are you sure Curvis hasn't done it? Also, look at the level of opponent he has beat - McIntyre was decent, the rest of his record leaves a lot to be desired.

Winning a Lonsdale outright is a good achievement but it's not the be all and end all.

I wouldn't waste time at domestic level beating up cannon fodder if I was clearly ready for a step up.

    This thread makes me lol.

Good to see you doing this GazOC, the ever unreliable self always starts something and never finishes it. Give me a link to your middles.
