Yes, Rob insisted on not including fighters who had only fought 4 rounders, however I think it was right of me in this case when we had someone who was 0-8!
Well, Rob's been banned (I think permanently) so you won't have to worry about that again. It is weird opening ESB is the morning and not seeing loads of his posts in the rankings, though.
Moore maybe ahead of Woods if he beats Rhodes, Cleverly and Brook when they beat a decent European/World class opponent :good
You stick to your guns Kos. Even the best of those 3 candidates (Moore) hasn't campaigned near the level that Witter and Woods have.:good
For me, for a change to take place, either Woods and Witter would have to lose at Euro level or Moore, Cleverly and Brook would have to start winning at world class. Neither has happened yet.
I disagree. When Woods and Witter fought at a high class level they got beaten badly. In reality who has Witter beat.... a washed up Vivian Harris? or in regards to Woods.... a contriversial win over Glen Johnson? not that Johnson isn't very tough cause he is but he would never of beat him in America. Plus both fighters are past their best since then anyway! Surely a current list should be based on current events?
Witter and Woods both have wins of a higher caibre (and have been world champions) than the Cleverly, Woods and Moore. Both are way past their best but this is a P4P list and achievement tends to play a large part in the ranking. Its not supposed to represent who is literally the best P4P at the moment.
We have Witter who was a world champ 3 fights ago and Woods who's only losses in the last 4 years have been in world title fights. Against that you have Cleverly who is still fighting at domestic class and Moore and Brook who are still at Euro level. You have to factor in achievements as well as current form in P4P lists. Thats just how people tend to do it when compiling those lists.
Plus, Moore only stepped up to Euro class a couple of fights ago and Brook is only stepping up to Euro class in his next fight.
