Splitting at hairs now maybe but Valero maybe above Guzman? He has won a title against Pitalua at the weight and hasn't been out since last year?

Nicky Cook is in contention - has received 3 votes so far (2 fairly high ones).

Barker is also in contention - 4 votes so far.

Antcull, I still need your P4P top 15 if you don't mind :good

Pitalua was 37 (I think) in their fight - was past his best. Valero really doesn't have a great resume at all. I suggest he stays where he is until he fights a decent opponent :yep:good

Yes that is correct Kos but do you remember who Guzman beat last time out? As for fighting decent opponents :deal I'm the first person who mentioned shunting him down the list:bart. Also, he might be fighting Soto next:shock::D.

to be fair, guzman doesn't have a good resume at lightweight either, but his opponents at superfeather were better than valero's

Do not even try and suggest Valero has a better record than Guzman :yep

The ONLY reason at this point in time for Valero to be ranked over him is the inactivity of Guzman.

Guzman is superior to Valero is nearly every aspect. Except power, Guzman is on the Malignaggi level of featherfistedness at lightweight.

Valero does have the better record at lightweight slightly, Pitalua was disapointing but Guzman has only fought Ameth Diaz. It's conclusive unless you factor in H2H ability which should play a part in such a small sample size.
