I'm gonna be in your position next week, running around all over the place excited and counting down every minute before the match happens. :bbbThere's nothing more exciting than seeing someone you've followed from early on in their pro careers rise up and win a title. In the back of your head, are you nervous about the possibility of Bute's chin getting cracked tonight? It would be great for you if Bute actually got hit hard on the chin by Berrio a few times.. then you wouldn't have to worry about his chin at all in the future.

...In a way, I'd rather Bute didn't have to go through this danger...chances are he will be checked quite a few times tonight by the best chin checker in the division...On the other hand, I agree with you that it's better to be checked by the best this time around than later, when you are more well-known, and have fair-weather fans who would turn against you if you lost one...Thus, I was glad in a way when I heared that Bute would go in with a puncher because I wanted him to be tested by the best and still get the upper hand...I hope it doesn't happen, but if Bute is KD'ed...I know he will do his very best to get up again...still, when you talk about Berrio, you don't talk about a chinchecker - you would have to have an IRON chin, not just a very good chin, not to go down when he hits you flush...

Aaaaghh.. Michael Gomez got knocked out in the 6th. I thought the fight was 50/50 and if he won I would be on top. Now I'll probably be in 3rd or 4th next week. :| This shows how much 1 fight can matter in this league, especially when you factor in the +20 points for getting all five correct.

Nice to know you're going for Povetkin. I can't believe there are a lot of people on this forum that actually think Byrd is going to beat him. Same thing with the McCall fight today. I can't understand why so many people, including very knowledgable fans picked him. I guess being a name guy means a lot.

 

Yes...those who pick according to which fighter sounds more famous often pick wrong.
