Prior to Gamboa's win saturday night this was the ESB top 15 at Featherweight. What would you change following that fight. Please note Chris John cannot be ranked due to inactivity. He was ESB Champ prior to being unranked.

    Featherweight (125lbs)

He hasn't even been inactive for a year yet.

Chris John. Excluding him is as ridiculous as excluding Mosley from the welterweight ranks pre-Mayweather was.

Chris John should be the Champ, and give him some time, he's out with an injury.

    1) Gamboa (IBF/WBA-regular)
    2) JuanMa (WBO)
    3) Rojas (WBC)

John will have been out the ring for a year on Sunday. No point ranking him.

Mosley was inactive for 18 months. Can you rank a guy thats been out that long. Maybe its worth putting in a rule that if a guy is champion they can be inactive for 18 months, other fighters its 1 year??

Chris John is still clearly the #1 in the division, even if he has been inactive for a year. A champion shouldn't be removed like that.

EDIT: Agree with the 18 months thing

Ok, How about any fighter that doesn't fight for 365 days they are removed from the rankings unless they are a belt holder (main 4 only) in which case they must fight within 550 days (18 months)

If an ESB World Champion does not defend there title within 365 days they will be stripped of there title, and removed from the rankings if they don't fight within 550 days

    what u think?

Gamboa should be No. 1, with Juanma a very close second.

ok. basically the vote is now for who is number 2.

Chris John has been stripped of his ESB title due to inactivity but he remains at number 1. If he doesn't fight for another 200 days he will be removed from the rankings.

This rule will only apply to ESB Champions and not alphabet belt holders.

JuanMa. His win over Luevano is better than anything Gamboa has done at feather. Concepcion sort of negates the fact that Gamboa has a great body of work, JuanMa has the quality so I vote for him at #2.

Juanma is the bees knees, i rated him above gamboa before and i do now, he will expose gamboa not as a hype job but expose his flaws. When he tkes on and hopefully beats cabelero and some defences he can fight one fghter out of superfeatherweights that division has to be the weakest in boxing right now.
