Lemieux is a better boxer than this guy lol. Probably faster too despite competing a couple of weight classes higher.
I never said otherwise. Just stating that his ceiling is probably at that level. This is especially true for British and German fighters, can definitely carve out a good career fighting in the home crowds.
na lemieux is a hard hitter but doesnt put any pressure on his opponents. atleast kerman is giving his opponent something to think about and throwing and looking for gaps rather than loading up and looking daft.
the end of the 3rd the writing was on the wall, he was getting walked down, he didn't have the power to keep him off or the tank to keep moving
Well Gavin is a blueprint for how not to carve out a career for any budding boxer out there. It's a shame when he turned pro I expected much, much more.
Very true, you'd have thought with the talent and platform he had he'd of tried at least. **** poor advice and attitude from day 1.....shame though.
I always thought he had real bad core strength too as well as not interested, he'd let shots go with spite in them as a last stand before he folded, but they bounced off opponents. Wrong weight division also wouldn't of helped him in that department. I expect a retirement announcement soon !
True, he's no where else to go now and he's not even the best in Britain. As you say it's got to be retirement, just hope although I expect he hasn't, he's made enough money to be comfortable.
