I think pac would beat berto, mosley, bradley and judah! I also think floyd would beat pac!! So it has nothing to do with race.... Floyd is just the best pure boxer around and he happens to be black!! I would root for pac though because he loves to scrap!!

PAC needs to fight the best out there period. Which he has been...And Floyd is the only one who is considered "ON HIS LEVEL". So if Floyd steps up.....PAC can kill 2 birds with one stone....facing an african american slickster while also facing the #2 guy in the sport.. Floyd can shed the harsh critisim of ducking and earn much needed respect by finally facing Manny.

It's a win win situation for both parties...even in a loss both will earn respect. But truth be told.....PAC hasn't faced african american fighters in the lower weight classes b/c there were NONE on his level....when he got to 147 he had a few options like Mosley, berto and Floyd...but give the man a break....he hasn't been at 147 but 2 yrs or so.

This is the BS double standard. Unfinished business like Zab and Mayweather? Or like getting the title from Baldo? Raheem proved himself and Morales should have gotten the shot. Just like Mosley or Berto at 147. Just like Williams or Martinez at 154. Pac took lesser challenges.

You are a clown. Mosley had been calling Pac out for YEARS. Nice try.

FMJ wants drug testing. That is reasonable, but we don't even need him to embarrass you.

Paul Williams is the man at 154 not Margo. Quit using the "he is too big" BS excuse.

And there's plenty of African American fighters now around 140-160 who are ranked in the top 25. PBF, Alexander, Bradley, Berto and Williams. Quit with the bull**** Lance there's guys there but Team Pac doesn't seem to be in a rush to fight any of them.

I don't think Pac's own camp thought Pac was going to be as good as he was.

In my view, DLH was a bit of matchmaking on their part because they figured they'd either win or get rich trying. DLH was a huge favorite, but they also saw clear signs of decline, too. It was a gamble worth taking. Mosley is a heck of a lot more dangerous than Oscar, and a heck of a lot less profitable. I would have chosen DLH over him too. As does everybody...including Floyd until circumstances all but forced him to fight Mosley.

I have no doubt whatsoever that if Mosley had beaten Floyd that night, that we would have seen Pacquiao/Mosley last weekend.

I do think Pacquiao has chosen some of his matchups with caution, which every elite boxer does (including Floyd). But Pacquiao has been at welterweight for a shorter period of time than Floyd, but has already built up a more impressive resume at that weight. So however much care Pacquiao has exercised in picking opponents, he's nowhere near as bad as Floyd. In my book, you get half credit for fighting at a catchweight, but you get no credit for not fighting at all.

Rational points. Disagree no Raheem as when a guy beats your next opponent you face him not the defeated guy unless you already signed contracts.

I disagree that Mayweather has been anything but eager to get this fight on, but I agree whole heartedly on Williams. Check my post history as well. The dude is too big. I blame no solid 147 pounder for not facing him.

I can criticize Mayweather. I hate the fact he retired. He should have pulled the "Superbowl of Boxing" BS back then. It would have been amazing! Think Cotto, Margarito, Mosely, Clottey, Berto, culminating in Pac? Insanity! He went a different route. Sucks for us but it is his brain, body, and family.

Cotto was a nobody. Period. He squeaked by Mosley. And the whole boxing world knew of the bitter hatred Arum had for Mayweather and the crap deals he was throwing at him. Stop selective remembering.

So Pac is free from blame no matter what? Like a deity? Pac is ultimately in control of his time. So according to you Pac is either a moron or a cherry picker? Right? If he won't fight these people? Not his fault. EVER. Because you believe that. Really?

I am harping on Pac because I am sick and tired of you Pac fans harping on Mayweather. Even sicker of the subliminal racist hate. The man has fought nothing but the best in every instance. The man is more than willing to fight Pac all he asks for are REASONABLE drug tests administered by the world's premier international drug testing agency.

I don't turn a blind eye to anything. Facts are facts. Half of the crap you guys bring up as "facts" are just Mayweather bashing. In this Mayweather hating echo chamber you feel safe... Not anymore! :toney

Raheem was fighting at lightweight while Pac was at 130 and Pac chose to rematch Morales who had previously beaten him. In his next fight Raheem lost and his career went down the drain.

The only arguments you have is with Campbell (chose D.Diaz instead, should have fought JMM) and Mosley (chose Cotto instead), not exactly a pattern and he will probably face Shane next May and get heavily bashed for it.

DLH, Hatton, Cotto >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anyone in the lightweight division that Pac could have fought besides a JMM rematch.

That being said, I hope he faces the winner of Bradley/Alexander and Mayweather, but you can't say that he has ducked those guys unless you have an agenda, which you obviously do.

True, nobody can say that Pacquiao has ducked Alexander, Bradley, or Mayweather because the story is still unfolding. Bradley and Alexander are a fight with each other away from stardom, and Pacquiao IS trying to fight Mayweather.

and as I've said a few times already, Williams, Berto and Mosley are not slick. Don't look for angles, elusiveness and sly counter-punching from any of them. Williams wins on volume, and Berto and Mosley have more of a latin style of fighting, as evidenced by them both being relatively outslicked by Collazo and Cotto, respectively.

There isn't a really credible argument that he's avoiding "slick black fighters", mainly because there aren't many of them in the weights he's fought at.

This is the same argument we had when Nallege wrote more or less the same thing as Hopkins only phrased with a bit less tact.

The whole thing about the style is ONLY relevant if you can come up with an example of which fighter/s Pac has avoided with that style.

Given Pac's tried to get a fight with the slickest African american stylist twice this year already - I don't see how this is relevant in anyway.

Hell, Nate Campbell is a slick African american fighter - You going to bet the house Campbell won't get KTFO'd by Pac anywhere from 130-140?

I wouldn't either, however they were/are the best at what they do at the weights. Why is Pac getting accolades for facing guys that aren't the best? Bias!

I agree. They do have better speed and/or reach that they don't give up as readily as other guys. "Slickness" is just one aspect of Black fighters' game. Hand speed, feints, and reach are other aspects.

Pac KEEPS fighting slow, come forward, brawlers/stalkers, when they aren't even the top guys. On top of that he chooses the brawlers/stalkers that don't even have to tools to be effective speed/reach/experience. He is a fraud.

Williams has shown he is MUCH better at dealing with angles than Margo.
