Paredes lands a jab but admires his work a moment too long - Bolanos lands a right and left combination between the eyes making Paredes blink away resultant sweat flying into them.

Paredes flashes chain hooks above the ears of Bolanos to discourage Bolanos' clinching and twisting against him to keep his head out of sight. Whipping right to the body by Bolanos as they step apart.

His resume isn't amazing, but he is on a solid 12-win streak with a passing fair name or two in there and his only loss in the last four years (and only unavenged loss in the last nine) is to Carlos Molina.

Moot point. Both of those routes are dead ends with either Mayweather or Alvarez sitting atop the mountain come next month. Paredes isn't beating either of them on the best night of his life even were it to align with their worst.

The IBF, however...

I would favor Alexander over him, but it wouldn't be impossible.

...if Khan somehow relieves Alexander of the belt, I can definitely see Paredes grabbing the hot potato. He is no less dangerous and not a much different level than Kidd Diaz. :think
