Right hooks and straight lefts by Cuellar. Marrero is running on fumes and throwing back on instinct, very loosely with noodle arms. Marrero leans back and spring-loads a left hand from the hip, glancing. Marrero dangles his arms at his sides, looking ready to keel over and pass out. Right hook by Marrero misses.

Marrero is swaying back as Cuellar throws wide shots at him pitched forward on his toes. Marrero is inviting rabbit punches while leaning far over and then complaining to the ref. Marrero is cut. Cuellar is all over Marrero. Combination finishing with a firework right hand crashing into the bottom of the chin, knocking Marrero back. Cuellar flurries Marrero into the ropes. Clubbing left to the backside almost knocks Marrero flat on his face but he snaps upright and circles away, flicking light jabs. Cuellar lands several short punches to the head as Marrero lazily steps toward the ropes, thinking he had killed enough time clinching after the ten-second clap to have made it to the bell.
