ESPN2 FNF: Carlos Molina vs. Cory Spinks RBR

Spinks IMO is the most underrated fighter of our generation. Mostly because of hos style but the guy was great.

Molina is winging both arms in at Spinks' sides and getting pushed down upon. Spinks tries to counter him on the way in with right jabs and hooks but is mistiming. Molina isn't landing anything to Spinks' head but is still getting his touches in downstairs with his spray-and-pray method between clinches. Finally the ref follows through on his threats, and takes a point away from Spinks. He yells "That's it, I'm taking points from now on! No more!" Spinks puts hands on hips and pouts. Molina attacks his body relentlessly.

Point deduction from Spinks Referee is an *******, his job isn't to make the job "entertaining".

Actually had that round going to spinks, Molina took his foot off the gas and Cory was able to hit him with hard rights when he charged in.

It was a more appropriate deduction than earlier against Castillo.

 

The judges will probably honor it, this time. :yep

 

Round 10

Molina is mauling and grinding in. Spinks tries to slap at him with right hooks and forearms to the face. Spinks down, slip. Molina is cracking Spinks with combinations on the inside, pushing him back with body shots and uppercuts and then blasting right hands to the face as Spinks leans back. Spinks is attempting to roll with shots but running out of room and unable to move his legs as quickly as he would like. Molina is all over him, managing to keep his hands flowing without getting grabbed. Spinks tries to bob and slip as much as he can instead.

Spinks needs a ko...at least in my scorecard...

Molina banging the body, landing the right upstairs, bullying and pushing Spinks all around the ring and doing whatever the hell he wants.

i guess. molina holds ALOT. like against kirkland. gotta call it both ways...

 

Still can't believe the over/under for this fight was 8.5 rounds at -125. Maybe people realized how this guy reffed? Even if he won't let Spinx nullify, Molina still has to knock him out with one of those feather duster fists, though.
