    Yes, quite safe.

Rossy does well in beating lower level journeyman and looks good doing so. Didnt think he had it in him to beat a once beaten, aspiring prospect. :think

Delvin, and I've been watching the guy for years... always looks gassed from the 1st round. Every single fight.

He looks spent. Yet, he keeps on fighting.

I still feel bad that he got ****ed out of some decisions years ago.. he deserved some of those close fights..

Delvin Rodriguez vs. Joachim Alcine, 10 rounds @ light middleweight

    Round 1

Rodriguez is throwing punches in bunches from the flag, but Alcine is dipping and leaning with his face caged tightly in his arms. Alcine counters and scrabbles inside to club up at Rodriguez while smothering his flurries.

    10-9 Alcine

    Round 2

Rodriguez keeps pouring the jabs and body-crossing uppercuts in, pressing in. Alcine ducks low, moves in and grabs. Right hand by Rodriguez, hurting Alcine.

    10-9 Rodriguez

    19-19

    Round 3

Rodriguez is jabbing at the head while Alcine ducks and swerves, throwing body shots and grabbing. They wrestle until freed by the ref. Alcine holds, looping his left around Rodriguez's waist and clubbing up top with the right. Flurry by Rodriguez, hitting the guard as Alcine backs into a corner.

    10-9 Alcine

    29-28 Alcine

    Round 4

Rodriguez is leading with right hands and batting in left hooks behind them. Alcine is dropping his face into Rodriguez's chest, holding and hitting. Lead lefts up top by Alcine while Rodriguez is rolling his gloves around each other, anticipating but not taking initiative.

    10-9 Alcine

    39-37 Alcine

    Round 5

Rodriguez is banging Alcine's sides in the clinch with his wrists and the excess tape off his glove halfway down to his crook. Rodriguez is leaning on Alcine and flailing up close, while Alcine is pushing off and clouting Rodriguez with the odd left on the bean.

    10-9 Alcine

    49-46 Alcine

    Stats halfway through:

    Rodriguez 77 of 321, 24%

    Alcine 62 of 228, 27%

    Round 6

Rodriguez is rolling up right hands from the hip, missing the moving head of Alcine, getting tied up and hit on the body, roughed up and shoved away. Rodriguez is countered with jabs and scooping body combos as he loads up on sloppy 1-2s past the head of Alcine. Clinch, Alcine spinning Rodriguez around with a whack behind the head.

    10-9 Alcine

    59-55 Alcine

Atlas has it 5-1 Rodriguez. :patsch

The fans scoring on the viewer poll on Facebook have it a draw.

    Round 7

Alcine keeps snaking his left arm over Rodriguez's neck and pulling him forward and down. Rodriguez tries overhand rights on the head but can't find Alcine cleanly. Lots of wrestling and tug of war, Alcine controlling Rodriguez's arms while backing up with pot shots lefts and working scrappy uppercuts on the lungs during the clinches.

    10-9 Alcine

    69-64 Alcine

    Round 8

Alcine is putting out both gloves to neutralize Rodriguez's jabs and then pressing in and clinging to Rodriguez before he can load up any overhand rights. Alcine is throwing very little, mostly resting. Rodriguez shrugs him off and lands a left hook and right hand. Lots of work from Rodriguez, little of it clean, but none from Alcine.

    10-9 Rodriguez

    78-74 Alcine

Both guys have been pros since 1999.

When they were starting their careers, not only didn't they know how many world title bouts they would participate in (a combined five; three for Alcine, two for Rodriguez) but they didn't even yet know the repercussions of the Y2K bug!!!

    ...or lack thereof...

I think it's his stance. He looked hunch backed and crouches a little.
