jeez, it only took adjaho 9 rounds to figure out he was in a fight.

 

Adjaho is taking it to Julio this round.

Round 9

Julio is getting up close and picking his shots now, trying to actually land. Adjaho chops away with some right hands and now it's Julio's turn to show some deft slipping skill. Julio is dodging punches on the inside and getting up close, working his hands on the inside. Adjaho looks uncomfortable and is opening up, trying to blast Julio with big right hand and digging those whip-like hooks to the body. Julio is taking shots mostly on the gloves and winging his arm around behind Adjaho's head. Nice moves by Julio, slipping another right. Adjaho switches to low jabs. Julio circles him and ducks down, dancing past him in a crouch and evading another overhand right. Julio landing mostly pot shot jabs, giving Adjaho a taste of his own medicine.

I saw it as desperation. Julio was getting up in his space and Adjaho panicked and broke his guard to start chopping at him. Julio actually showed really good defense while getting inside and pestering him.

 

Crowd is on its feet with a standing O.

 

Round 10

Julio flurries up the middle at Adjaho, but gets corked with a HUGE right hand that sends sweat flying out of his curls. :shock: Adjaho is jabbing straight out and actually letting combos go off his jab. Julio is trying to muscle his way in and fight toe to toe. Adjaho is back to staying on the outside even thought he's gotten the better of it so far this round. Julio throws a double jab and right hand to the body, catching nothing but air as Adjaho backs off. Julio tries to jab his way in, and clubs with a right hand. Adjaho pops his shoulder up to block it. Julio is lunging. Wild hook misses, and a follow-up right grazes Adjaho. They jab and land together. Julio right to the body. Fake-out jab off to the side and then a right through the gloves by Julio. He's tired and doesn't have as much snap on his punches but is showing some smarts. He still missed too much and didn't find anything to balance out that big right hand.
