I now realise why the son keeps the father around. Without the continuous reminders that he's senior's son, Chris junior would have been written off as an embarrassing fraud by all concerned. I can't remember a fighter in all my 21 years following the sport who has gotten away with the nonsense the Eubanks have while still generating publicity and conning money out of TV stations.

 

This is an intervention, we are not having a pop at you but we all care about you and I will assume you have family that love you.

Whilst i can see where you are going with this, but to an extent i have to disagree.

CEJ is clearly a talented fighter, some say yes some say no that is life, we all have different opinions.

Whilst it appears they are trying to con people out of money with this fight, i disagree, this was the only deal his father could make, and this is why they are attempting it.

If it was solely for the money they would have taken the GGG fight and then walk away, but they didn't and this is what they are reduced to.
Terribly sad for Jr but he is a man and people cant keep blaming the old man.

Big Ren better start training hard, I know he only became a fully professional fighter pre Geale but all he is doing is making excuses. He's a huge talent with great potential but I fear a career defining brutal hiding coming.

He needs to stop complaining about the money and promotion and start training.

The way the forum trolls and youtube warriors are talking £44,000 will be the total revenue for the fight so Ren will be killing it and as far as I am aware he ain't getting a % so why worry about the promotion.

Ren isn't even coming to help promote because his Mrs is due, so he can't just have his cake and eat it. I suppose he is doing his part creating some controversy so who knows.

 

I think you need to accept that some people don't view Eubank fighting for a world title being such a shocking and upsetting event. Relax.

I think the event is going ahead. Whether it will be the first and last PPV by ITV is a different question.

The undercard is starting to take shape with the following fights being shown on ITV4.

I agree, this would be a better way. There is a decent toe getting dipped in the water kind of card on ITV 4 in a couple of weeks. Robbie Davies Jr vs Willie Limond and Jack Arnfield defending that title he won against Ryder.

 

You're the second person trying to pathologize someone showing some support for the event. I think it's weird how a fighter some dislike, consider poor, find annoying etc, can cause so many threads and so much howling and tears.

Don't like the fight? Don't buy it. /thread. I'm sure ITV will survive.
