It pretty sad that there is a possibility of a fix cause so much money can be made from a 3rd fight. Eubank should win this and win easier than 1st fight. I see Benn coming out swinging for the fence from the opening bell. Eubank using jabs again and countering the wild swings. Which will actually help Eubanks in the later rnds cause I think Benn will tire from all the spent energy of the earlier rnds. Allowing Eubanks to cruise to a 12 rnd unanimous win. Thats my take on the fight.
After the first fight, Hearn couldn't have been more complimentary of Benn's performance: “Believe me when I say, you are a f***** hero in Britain,” said promoter Eddie Hearn, talking to a seated Conor Benn in a room full of media following his loss to Chris Eubank Jr. last Saturday night in London. “Not just because you went in there and had a good go and got chinned. “Until the last bell, you did not stop trying to win the fight. You’re a f**** machine, mate. Nige [Benn], he might be better than you, mate,” said Hearn, continuing to go overboard with his ultra-glazing of Conor Benn, by saying he could be better than his legendary father, Nigel Benn. Now, on the eve of the rematch, Hearn with a complete about face on Benn's performance in the first fight: "He was very poor on the night. We know what he’s capable of. If he had done a little bit better last time, he might have won the fight. We feel he can do a lot better,” said Hearn. Could not lie straight in bed that Fast Car Eddie. If I shook that man's hand, I'd be sure to count my fingers afterwards.
Eubank looked lethargic as hell in that weight in. It look he was digging down deep just to get his cloths back on.
I got Benn this time. He’s not gonna swing for the fences this time out the gate. He knows Eubank will be done after round 9 so I see him hitting the body with smart but active pressure and breaking him down. I hope I’m wrong but Eubank look like he ran a marathon at the end of last fight, he was exhausted.
I'm not sure who wins but I'd LIKE Benn to get it. Not that I'm a fan of his or anything, but I was of his dad. No one's ever replicated the sheer raw power and excitement in the Middleweight/super middle for me,as Nigel did. I want Conor to get the win for the Benn family , Nigel Had to settle for a draw unfortunately.
I was certain that the first fight was a waste of time and that Eubank Jr. would win without much trouble. But Conor to his credit put forward a quality performance and showed that he could hang. I think Benn fights a smarter fight and Eubank Jr.'s weight hurts him down the stretch when he's mentally and physically fatigued with no second wind in sight. Something like Benn TKO 10.
