“I wouldn’t sell my peace of mind for the world. No, I’m not taking aim again as I already hit the bullseye. If I take aim again, I know I’m not going to be able to hit the bullseye. You only can do that in your 20s. “I’ve aimed, fired and I’m grateful for my score. All the gold in Buckingham Palace could not make this king go back in there and put it on the line.”
I suspect Benn wants some of that exhibition money even though he's still loaded while Eubank went broke years ago.
Eubank Sr is loaded. You’re not driving around central London in 4-5 different £300K cars otherwise. I’m pretty sure he kept money from his Middle East venture in 96/97 into Dubai bank ISA accounts, promoted his own shows there and earnings are untaxed there.
Nobody wants to see that, nobody. Benn wanted to fight Sakio Bika a while back and ended up pulling out due to injury or whatever the problem was. Benn is 57 years old, Eubank Sr 55 years old, now I'm sure they are both in great shape for their ages but they are both in their 50s and both haven't fought for over 20 years. As a huge fan of Benn and a fan of Sr, having been to fights of both it would genuinely upset me to see them at their ages in a ring together.
Respect to Chris on this. I don't want to see these exhibition fights from faded greats - like recently seeing Holyfield was horrible!
Nigel's seriously deluded. He was saying he's better than he was in his prime, then allegedly got folded in his first sparring session.
Have you not read the interview with ex-wife #2? According to her he's nothing more than a world class freeloader these days. Everything borrowed.
We don't need to see another Fenech vs Nelson III / RJJ vs Hopkins II type fight. Just another cash grab.
"If I take aim again, I know I’m not going to be able to hit the bullseye. You only can do that in your 20s" is he having a little poke at Chris Jr there?
