Toney by decision. The judges will have to pay attention because neither of these guys were particularly high in their punch outputs.
Eubank would've cleanly beaten the Toney who fought Jones, with his stiff jab and lateral movement. That Toney was ill. Both in decent shape, it's a special fight. Toney maybe out-works him with body shots.
Toney in a close but in control type of one. Arguable mate and Eubank was the first boxer I was a fan of. I mean he sort of did but never fought the best
True but I think he'd be lauded as one of the best victories if he did. Like say Jones or Toney beat him at SMW, that victory would be massive for both, he definitely proved himself a consistent top 5 type imo.
There's an interview between Eubank, Benn and Toney from the early 90's where Toney makes some remarks towards Eubank and his family, and Chris flipped out. It's somewhere on YouTube. Toney was being interviewed via satellite from Michigan.
I could be wrong, but I think there's a Eubank interview where he all but admitted that he wanted no parts of Nunn. The same Nunn that Toney would go on to beat. Eubank, underneath all his bravado, didn't think he was as great as his groupies think he was.
Chris was an odd figure. I remember he was in line to face RJJ but lost to Collins, twice. Would've been quite interesting if he could've hung with RJJ or gotten completely schooled.
LOL Well there are a lot of fighters who would beat a drained Toney. Mythical matchups aim to compare the best versions of a fighter a certain weight. It is about who was truly the better fighter.
