Ha! PLEASE tell me you're joking with this nonsense? This is something a casual would write after looking at boxrec. It's that ridiculous, I don't even know where to start. Nobody with even an ounce of boxing knowledge would have wrote what you have. A quick example of your awful logic: Did Rocky Marciano retire undefeated? Yes. Nobody ever beat him. Did Ali retire undefeated? No. He lost 5 times. So I guess that would mean that Rocky was the better fighter, and that he'd have schooled Ali if they'd have fought? Yes? It's a joke. Joe retiring undefeated and Toney not doing so, doesn't mean ANYTHING when looking into what may have happened had they fought at SMW. Did Toney beat Roy? No. But Roy was at his peak at 25. Did Joe beat Roy? Yes. But he was weeks away from his 40th birthday and he was 3-3 in his previous 6, and it had been 5 years since he'd had a top level win. Your stats haven't allowed for any circumstances. There's no way that Joe would even have fought a prime version of Roy, let alone beaten him. Joe wasn't a superior fighter to James Toney, and despite his undefeated record, his resume isn't as good either. You obviously never saw Toney fight in the 90's. Your post is a complete embarrassment. Lay off the stats and go and educate yourself.
You can't be serious here.... are you? Are you actually applauding Joe for beating a washed up has-been Roy was at that point in his career... to the prime and motivated Roy Toney met? They aren't even close to the same caliber, and it's downright atrocious you tried to make this comparison. Tell you what... Name Joe's best wins and I'll name Toney's... I assure you, Toney's is clearly better. Since we're talking facts, let's talk facts.
He's either a troll or a casual. His post was embarrassing. Does he really believe that Joe would have schooled Toney because he was undefeated and beat Roy, whereas Toney didn't? Ha! He's obviously no idea who Toney fought back in the day.
