I have the exact same conflict with the BJS vs Murray fight. I want BJS to go on and fulfil his potential but I would love to see Martin become world champion. Whereas with Groves vs Eubank, although I strongly believe Groves will win, it makes no odds to me who does...and I want Smith to win the tournament anyway.

Have the casuals bought in to it?

I have seen a lot of moaning that ITV have done a poor job promoting the fight and not many people know there's even a tournament on?

From what I have seen, it’s got some traction with the casuals and maybe fightweek it will really catch on... but I do feel once again ITV fall short with boxing on what should be a huge platform for boxing it has so much potential being free to air and the getting the audience to advertise their PPV.

I really think the mess up no promoting free to air boxing and then putting the bigger fights on PPV... for example I thought it would be been a better idea to have first round fights free on itv1 then PPV after that or even just the final I strongly believe the added exposure would of made the numbers worth in on PPV

Yes. The only fights that sell out big arenas in UK are one's the casuals have bought in to and I think this sold out inside 10 minutes.

Indeed. If Eubank can make it past the 6th without getting stopped or taking too much punishment - the second half of this fight will be very interesting indeed. Groves could be in for a torrid time in rounds 6-12. Id favour Groves to dominate the first half but the longer it goes - (obviously provided junior isnt totally beaten up) the more it will swing in CEJs favour. If its the 8th - 9th round and Eubank is still attacking throwing barrages of punches, no offence, but I have to doubt Groves a bit in these circumstances.

Basically for Groves to win comfortably he pretty much has to win inside 6. Can he do this?

Senior, just chilling, lounging around, relaxing with his family....

.... In a full 3 piece suit and what appears to be a New York cops badge on his lapel.

Give the guy his due... He doesn't do **** by halves.

Isn't Eubanks Sister shagging Frank Smith(Matchroom)? In Theory that should help Eddie resigning back Eubank

The casuals and squares are actually backing Groves, whereas the sharps are preferring Eubank. Eubank is a favourite because the sharps are betting big money on him.

On Twitter it seems full of the casuals saying Eubanks will flatten him etc. One thing is for sure both have weaknesses in areas were the other has strengths, I just think if Groves strengths are on point Eubank they stop Eubanks strengths. Be a cracking fight that's for sure.

I'm not classed as a so called 'casual' and I think Groves will win. He is a natural SMW, he has the experience at this level, and has a dedicated team behind him. Eubank has openly admitted he does things his own way and doesn't need any advice and I think this is a terrible mistake at the highest level.
Groves has a great jab and I think he just jabs Eubanks face off for 12 rounds.

I didn’t think much of Senior has a man anyway, but his tweet to Groves was in very poor taste, and somewhat delusional.

‘This is what real fighting looks like’.

This, to a bloke who is deeply affected by the guilt from leaving a man in his prime, mute and in a wheelchair. Making out that his son is some kind of superior, train wrecking machine.

Very poor from Senior. I don’t believe it to be genuine concern.
