It's a completely pointless match up and I am dumbfounded that it will be popular among casual fans. I am 40 and can barely remember their dads fighting each other, and that seems to be main reason for all this. I just can't see how boxing fans who know all about Eubank sr would be interested, and conversely casual fans would barely know much about Eubank or Benn sr. Leonard beat Hagler three years prior to the first Eubank v Benn. Eubank v Benn 1 was so long ago that Turkey's great uncle hired Wet Wet Wet for the pre fight concert. Sweet Caroline was only 21 years old ffs.

I go along with this - I remember the Eubank-Benn heyday and somehow I think a lot of this has been driven by Nigel. He always felt he got 'robbed' in the second fight at Old Trafford so wonder if he's re-living the rivalry through his boy. He must also know his boy is rotten and this is a good cashout fight?

Benns a ****, a no good wrong un **** who shouldn't be given a sniff of a fight like this.

Anyone supporting Benn is in the same camp, they should have nothing to do with boxing as a serious sport, maybe try that misfits thingy instead.

 

It's not a fight I really want to see. Both have had special treatment because of their dads.
I get they are both "stars" and "big names" on the UK scene but this fight is all wrong.
It's nothing more than a cash grab, the fake beef between them is embarrasing as well.
Eubank needs to concentrate on getting that world title shot and Benn needs to sort out
the drug testing and get back to rebuilding his career. This does nothing for them on the world scene.
