So? **** that dumb *******. If these guys are stupid enough to blow all their money, then they can go **** themselves. I wish I had 1/10 of what he earned while boxing.

Then what is it then if it's not squandering? He bought a house fit for a king and the upkeep must have cost a fortune. Do you think somebody who grew up in the Atlanta projects is gonna settle for a modest 2 bedroom-apartment when they suddenly find themselves making millions of dollars? It doesn't work that way. I don't want to get subjective and all but most boxers are by nature, intense people, who do things with an "all or nothing" attitude. If they were more reasonable and economical people they wouldn't be taking punches to the head for a living, they would be 9 to 5ers like us. It's the nature of the beast. I'll tell u one thing...Evander Holyfield's legacy is set in stone as one of the greatest and most courageous fighters to ever lace on the gloves. A man that took on all-comers and proved himself time and time again. That's something that nobody can take away from him. I just don't think you can shut off that intensity that a man carries with him into the ring once the fight is over so it's no surprise that Evander lived a life of excess. You're either one way or the other. A warrior or a businessman and it always comes out in the way you fight.

    Holyfield: “I’m Not Broke!”

Despite recent reports that Evander Holyfield is broke, the former champ told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “I’m not broke. I’m just not liquid. I do feel kind of sad because things have always been positive and now everybody wants to jump on me like I’m the worst person in the world and I went out and blew all my money.” Holyfield’s lavish 109 room estate, which sits on 235 acres of land in a suburb outside of Atlanta (and is located on Evander Holyfield Highway), was reportedly scheduled for auction on July 1st. However, his lawyers are now claiming that the estate, valued at $20 million, is no longer up for auction. While he would not elaborate, Holyfield stated: “Everything is alright with the house now.” Regarding his alleged failure to make child supports payments, The Real Deal said: “Never. I would NEVER do something like that. That’s been a consistency in my whole life. I have always taken care of my children. It’s just one of the mothers who is saying something because she thinks it will embarrass me. I just have to roll with the punches in this situation.” Holyfield has always been known to persevere through adversity and has ‘rolled with the punches’ throughout his entire career. Fight fans are confident that boxing’s only four-time heavyweight champ will be able to win this bout too.
