Here's what you don't know: I rank both Holyfield and Tyson over Dempsey. What say you now? I have to question your intelligence. Seriously. You force me to with off-the-wall retorts like this one. How about beating Miske? How about beating a giant in Willard? How about a KO in 1 round of Carl Morris and Fred Fulton -6'4, 6'6 respectively, in 1918? You know dink about Dempsey. Dempsey was better around 1918-1919 than he was after 1923. Those are beyond debatable. They aren't excuses. Have you received your GED yet? I'm really late on this one but I got Holyfield. I think Jack wins the first few rounds and at some point gets Holy in trouble like Bert Cooper did but gets outlasted and tko'd around 10.
Evander would have handle Dempsey like Tyson.Out muscle Dempsey busts him up stops him in 6.Evander had no prombles handling Tyson who was bigger then Dempsey.
Steroids aside... Who did Dempsey beat that was remotely in Holy's league? Who was the best heavyweight that Dempsey defeated? How would you pair that fighter against Bowe or Douglas or Foreman or Holmes or Mercer or Lewis? Does tin chinned Fred Fulton beat any of these? Does a rusty old Willard turn the trick over 12 rounds?
Stop using logic. This is a Dempsey thread. It`s all about the myth. Never mind that he sat on the title for years and was a subpar champion.
