It's fun to watch these guys when they get together.

Amazing how well Holyfield is after taking so much punishment in so may fights.
    Bowe....he's pretty messed up unfortunately.

    That's funny.
    Holyfield's telling the truth.

Bowe did fight Bert Cooper before Holyfield did though. he didn't remember that one well enough.

I wonder if Bert took the Bowe fight too close off the heels from his amazing war with Ray Mercer. If memory serves, the two fights were only a couple months apart. I was genuinely surprised that Bowe got Bert out of there like that. Quite frankly it may be Bowe's best performance next to Holyfield I.

Cooper was in good shape, tough guy, could punch... Bowe just blew him like nothing

    Underrated win

I think Bowe beat his share of good opponents in such a short career.
Not only 2 wins over Holy (which is great achievement itself).

Too bad he had declined so quickly, only 7 years of active pro career (I don't count his comeback in late 30s-early 40s)

Was Bowe talking about Cooper when he said he (I'm assuming Cooper) hurt him with a body shot?? Cooper fought well in the first round of that fight but Bowe caught him with a long right in the 2nd and then finished him.

Just another fighter talking about that Bert Cooper POWER!!! I was ironically just last night reading an interview conducted with Ray Mercer where he said "If I'm talking about pain it's Tommy Morrison and Bert Cooper" high praise from a guy who felt the thunder of Lewis, Klitschko, McCall, Holyfield, Witherspoon, a basic who's who. I know Evander maybe isn't considered on that level of power with some of them but he was the only one to drop a prime Ray. I also remember McCall who fought and sparred with everyone saying Cooper hit harder than anyone. Good ole Bert one of my favorite.

Loved how bert seemed to come from nowhere to the big major fights and do pretty well. Dropping holy for the first time, the war with moorer and the battle with mercer. He should have got in there with Alex stewart. Would have been a good tear up.

I like Bert too. Check the clips on youtube where he just creams a bareknuckle boxer. Swats him down like a fly.
