Holyfield's hands would never be the same. He would land so many clean shots in combination. Evander wasn't punching as hard in his prime as he did later but snappy combinations. Anyone as big as Ruddock could get lucky but that is basically how he fought anyway. After Dokes all he tried to do was reproduce that type of Ruddock. To make it harder for him Ruddock was a low volume puncher. 0 chance of winning a decision. Worse ring IQ in recent memory. For a realistic look at Razor Ruddock check out his bout with Greg Page in 1992. Page was shot but got himself in outstanding condition. Razor thought he would blast him out. Razor thought he was in the FOTC and Greg Page almost saved Lennox the trouble. That was a red flag going forward for anyone thinking he would bother Holyfield.
