Breidis Maries whatever his name, iis not underrated. If he is underrated then Carlos De Leon or Ossie Ocassio are underrated too, it works both ways.

A entire career that you speak of is the one with 21 fights yet. If you wanna bring the amateurs on this then the thread should be Usyk vs Holyfield in the amateur rules.

Holyfield can. But it isn't a given he would've necessarily. I think this is a 50/50 fight. Stylistically this is dead even. Usyk is a great combination puncher in his own right, with faster feet, faster hands and an exceptional jab. He will give Holyfield a lot of trouble as well.

I'm not saying it isn't a close match up but I've seen some bizarre posts in this thread in favour of Usyk.

Holyfield a plodder ? Holyfield gets stopped by Usyk ? Utter nonsense.

Yeah, some of the more beloved contemporary fighters do get some ridiculous arguments in their favor in fantasy fights. Boxing skill is pretty even I'd say, between the two of them.

Yes, all 3 can be underrated. But Briedis is Underrated, not speaking just on the back of the Usyk fight either. His skill and power is that of a p4p fighter.

Okay, I am fine with that. Bert Cooper gets underrated sometimes when people talk him as a bum. Usyk is the most overrated fighter I've seen in my 13 years posting in these forums.
Kovalev was, before him. At least Kovalev, or GGG were punchers, those have to be overrated, I will always support punchers, but Usyk ? He has great skills, sure... but he is not the second coming either.

Who is the most proven of the 3? I have to disagree there with you, Vic. Usyk has the best claim besides Canelo (who doesn't impress as much in the eye test) of being the Great of this era. And truth be told, he was never ever hyped up anywhere near as much as GGG and Lomachenko were.

21 fights where nobody was able to "pressure" Usyk and win. I humbly suggest that mere "pressure" isn't going to do it.

You said cruiserweight. Younger Evander moved like a light heavyweight, was a master at controlling pace and rhythm, and could use positioning entice opponents into throwing a specific punch, then answering with the perfect counter.

I know that this is supposed to be a close matchup; I just don't think that it is.

Usyks a harder hitter than he gets credit for, but you're right that Holy went in with much bigger hitters.

I'd definitely think points (when is what I voted), but late TKO from accumulation isn't completely impossible IMHO.

I like the bit where Usyk was described as a "basic 1-2 fighter"
