What if Roy Jones moved up to HW in 1997, after beating Griffin, and fought Holyfield, who was coming off getting his ear bitten off by Tyson? Who wins?

I think by that point, Jones would have out slicked him to a close decision unless Evander landed something big. Holy was slowing down and starting to get used to slower paced fights.

Jones wasn't exactly slick. Fast, yeah.

If they fought 10 times, I would think 5 wins each.

I think Holyfield would be skilled enough to hang with Jones and his size would be the difference I see Holyfield being able to back Jones into a corner at different parts in the bout and get to him, possibly even catching him or breaking him down enough to knock him out.

Holyfield would have knocked the **** out of him, size strength and the man used to fighting bigger guy's wins no doubt..

That being said i doubt Jones would have agreed to fight Holyfield, Roy was very selective about his opponents...

Holyfield by savage KO. Roy's Chin would have gotten obliterated.

Assuming its the version of Holy who fought Moorer in 1997 then eventually Holy is gonna catch up with Roy

    Holy by mid/late round stoppage
