Your reply has nothing at all to do with the post you quoted.

It would play out like Ward vs Froch. Worse for vitali however as he wasn't as good as Froch.

Good comparison. I also see this as a wide points win for Holyfield.

I think the Valuev fight is overlooked. Holyfied clearly won that fight, what an accomplishment at age 47.
That fight was a complete robbery.

What is it stylistically you see about Holy that leads you to that conclusion?

    Byrd was 6'1, 74" reach.
Chisora was also 6'1, 74" reach.

Both of these guys were able to fight competitively with Vitali, with Byrd being outweighed by 40 pounds.

Holyfield was 6'2 with a 78" reach so he was bigger than both of those guys.

Not to mention he was a much better fighter.

Vitali likes keeping people on the outside, he doesn't like fighters who get too close, in the Chisora fight he looked really uncomfortable with the none stop uneducated pressure of Chisora. Holyfield will take Vitali to a whole new world.

And unlike Lewis and Bowe, Vitali doesn't really have an uppercut that Holyfield has to worry about, a punch he was susceptible to.

I think Holyfield in his prime could have beaten Vitali. He had a granite chin, hand speed, foot speed and solid power as a heavyweight. He could throw fast combinations and box well off the jab. Vitali has a very awkward kind of style but uses his height very well. Holyfield would have to take risks and get on the inside and work the body and head with quick combinations while getting out of dodge of the incoming From Vitali. He's got to stick and move!

Holyfield is capable of out boxing Vitali but Vitali is also great at keeping the fight at range, It's a great fight but I think Holyfield eeks out a UD in a tough fight.

Vitali on points and its not even in doubt or a close fight.

Vitali would absolutely love to fight Holyfield (one that was not the ancient version towards the end of his career) and he would hit him all night long.

I think in 20 years time- some of the morons here will call it as I call it now. But there is still alot of nostalgia for the 70s and 80s fighters and that clouds judgement.

Holyfield had a great set of whiskers and great stamina but thats not enough to beat someone who is a nasty fighter and 1 foot taller than you

Holyfield's just alot better than any of Vitali's wins. Bryd smashed his shoulder up with a few accurate jabs. Evander would have headbutted his shoulder into oblivion.

Vitali never learnt to keep his hands up.You do not get away with that against Holyfield.

Way too smart in fighter, and at range. Strong enough and willed enough and fit enough by far to keep Vitali bewildered. Vits crude arm clubbing and good chin aren't enough.

its impressive that you think fighters from the 70s and 80s cloud judgement since Holyfield was a 90s HW.

That's impressively stupid, I do mean, especially in light of you referring to others who disagreed with your enlightening statement as "morons" in the very same sentence.
