Whyte hype train lmao, it never departed from the station. He's an ok fighter who's fairly exciting to watch, I'm a fan and he's never been that hyped up tbh.

Great post; thanks. I agree - truly a strange opinion.

I kind of agree with the general thought that Whyte is a product of some very shrewd business handling on the part of EH and Matchroom. He is somewhat overrated in that many boxing 'experts' rank him in the top 5 when, to be honest he's only ever fought two top 10 opponents in Parker and Povetkin and is 2 and 1 with one of those wins being somewhat controversial and the other against an obviously, I'll prepared and shot Povetkin.

The thing is though, that short, catch and counter left hook he carrys has despatched opponents every bit as effectively as a Wilder Windmill. You don't render the likes of Chisora unconscious unless you have serious power and he's the only man to drop Parker, and he dropped him hard.

Even the Lucas Browne KO was impressive if against a faded fighter and that same punch would have any HW on the planet on ***** street.

Why the hate for this guy? Hes clearly not as good as Fury or Joshua, but he beats most of the top 10. He doesnt duck anyone and he just took a quick rematch against a guy who nearly decapitated him.

I don't know how anyone could score that first Whyte v Chisora fight to either fighter by several points. I struggled to score some of the rounds the way they would swing throughout the 3 minutes. Would have had no arguments with a draw or 7-5 to either man.

The second fight Whyte pulled that out the bag because he was deservedly behind on the cards. No way was he winning that fight. Chisora was forcing the action and landing a lot of clean hard shots particularly to the body. In fact, Chisora was treated unfairly in that fight having 2 points deducted when both fighters were rough housing each other. Chisora only got caught with that shot right after the second point deduction. He immediately started chasing the fight and left himself wide open as a result.

As for the Rivas fiasco. Saying he was cleared means absolutely nothing. The BBBofC were incompetent the way they handled the gloves situation. There's nobody to hold them to account hence them getting away with poor judging, officiating and whatever else. Whyte was popped for PEDs and that was mysteriously brushed under the carpet (like the Fury's). He's a PPV fighter, no way is he going to serve a ban, there's too much money to be made on him.

Disagree with Whyte vs Chisora 2.
Whyte was landing more, just seemed to to me people were giving chisora rounds for walking forward and had the crowd backing him.

    I had it:

    Whyte chisora
    1. 10 9 (close)
    2. 10 9
    3. 9 10
    4. 10 9
    5. 10 10
    6. 9 10
    7. 10 9
    8. 10 8
    9. 9 10
    10. 10 9
    11. Ko win Whyte

Chisora was in front in Whyte 2.. No danger about it he landed some good body work early and later he was catching Whyte clean upstairs as well. Problem is he gassed. If i'd have been his trainer i'd of been telling him to take the 11th off Jab and right hand and tie up. Keep it straight, chin down hands up. Instead he kept throwing while knackered and Whyte uncorked one.

The point deduction for Chisora for the elbow was soft as well, barely any contact...

He's a con man. Claims he's the Can Man and anyone can get it....except he actively gets out of fighting people.

Claims he's hard done by not getting a title shot....except he turned it down.

Laughs and mocks anyone who loses/gets stopped....moaned when people gave him **** for losing.

The man is an absolute arsehole

I'm joking mate, just could not possibly imagine anyone favouring Whyte against Fury, unless its Hughie?

Regarding Hrgovic - With respect what are you basing that on ?? Who has Hrgovic beat ?? Eric Molina ? Kevin Johnson ??
We can criticise Dillian and his greedy mindset all day but he has faced legitimate opposition and won, his CV is several levels above Hrgovic. Whyte is a proven HW, FH has fought and beaten no one in the top 20 let alone the top 10.

My point was that the headclash changed the result of the fight
