A few I have spoken to about it say the same (not 90% or even close), i disagree purely because i cannot for the life of me see how GG ko's Froch this time when he couldn't before (when for 5 rounds at least he was practically invited to do so, makes GGs statements of a 3 round blitz (in his favour) more ridiculous, also if he's so certain why does it matter who the ref is ( they can ALL count i presume) Groves saying he (and wee Paddy) "go in knowing" is the only statement either have made i agree with, they go in knowing they can't knock him out. I am a Froch fan as world title wise he's the only Brit i've seen going into previous title fights (in recent years) that i fancy to leave with titles in tact, I think Froch's ego will refuse to be ko'd early in front of 80,000 in the biggest fight we've seen on these shores, simply won't happen , & last fight included i've seen nothing in his entire career to say he'll "fall apart" etc, reading the espn interview with Groves saying he had to ask Carl to promise not to pull out last time he seen him, What wasn't mentioned was that the question was a desperation tactic on ringside after spending an hour with a different Froch than his last visit to the studio & all other psychological tactics failing, Groves is wasting so much public goodwill it's unreal.

Think it's clear to see Groves packs bags of power.

Terry can't name you any world class operators that GG has stopped because as we all know he hasn't been in the ring with anyone on that level except Froch as Froch was his first step up to world level... which you have to credit him for because there were easier options than Froch out there for him to take.

But that's not to say he's not a big puncher just because he hasn't been in with these guys, he's only been a pro for what 5 years and probably has a good 9 - 10 years left to go in his career. Nobody else has put Froch, a guy who's known for having some chin on him, down like he did and buzzed him numerous times throughout the fight.

I can't see Froch being any quicker this time,Groves was beating Froch with his quick hand speed, and Froch has never been fast. But what he does have is the stamina and durability to go 3 minutes 12 times, even an under par Froch was starting to crumble Groves, although Carl was out classed by Ward he was still going strong and chasing Ward in the 12th, I can't see George having very much left in the later rounds, his only chance is an early stoppage when he's fresh, but then Froch will be fresh early on as well...

The cobra to win again But it must be by stoppage.....

Don't disagree that Froch isn't durable because he's shown time and time again what a tough ******* he is.

But in that first fight he got put on his arse, was given a torrid time round after round, getting hit with big shot after big shot... make no mistake about it Froch was a tired man himself, people are over looking that.

What do you expect? Most people believe(d) that Froch is/was world class, #2 SMW in the world, top 10 p4p and one of the p4p toughest, most durable guys in the sport. Groves goes on to out-box Froch, drop him and hurt him so of course people are going to jump on the the bandwagon and think 1.) Groves must be pretty damn good and 2.) Groves must hit very hard and/or Froch's chin isn't what it used to be/was thought to be.

On the topic of the thread, the reason people who pick Froch think it will be a late KO is because they believe Groves main weaknesses are stamina and punch resistance.

Taylor had Froch on his arse, and Taylor was a career MW.

    Dirrell buzzed him.

    Kessler buzzed him.

    Abraham buzzed him.

Old man Johnson got his attention on a couple of occasions.

Froch was gung ho against Groves, and walked onto a decent shot in the first round.

As i said, people getting carried away on the Groves bandwagon.

Of course he was, thats why he was loading up and throwing everything at Groves in the last 30 seconds of round 9.
Froch would of had the engine to chase Groves for the next 9 minutes had Foster not ruined the fight.
Groves on the other hand was running on empty.

I want Groves to win but believe Froch will find a way to win again. I will again predict a Froch win on points.

Froch will use the jab constantly in this fight and I believe his defence will be a lot tighter, I think this could be a stinker for the first few rounds.

I would love to see Groves win though and I agree that neither fighter has looked good in the build up, the pair of them have acted like a couple of dicks.

Re-watch the first 1 minute of that 9th round, Groves wasn't running on empty. Both men were tiring but Groves was winning that first minute of the round.

With 1 min 56 secs left in the round, Froch throws a right hand which cracks Groves on the top of the head which then leads to Froch's first major success in the fight when Groves starts to become ragged... not long after that Foster jumps in and ends the fight

Groves had started to lose his intensity from the middle of round 6, he thought he'd have Froch out of there and failed to seal the deal.
The first notable shot that Froch landed ( which wasn't on the button i might add ) had Groves staggering about like a drunk and clinging hold of Frochs shorts.

Having read several of your posts, its obvious you don't like Froch, so i don't pay much attention to your version of events where the first fight is concerned.

There are lots of posters who support one or the other, but can remain impartial when discussing/debating the events of the first fight.

You can't compare the Taylor KD, Froch was caught off balance but not hurt. Groves had his lights out before he hit the canvas.

Like you say Abraham/Kessler/Dirrell/Johnson all caught him clean but only 'buzzed him', just shows you the kind of power Groves is carrying.

Froch has gone 12 rounds at world level time and time again. His energy levels are world class.

GG has gone the distant once against degale which he lost the last few round because he was gassing
