Think most people realize the game tbh. Boxers do need to pad records build experience. Have comeback fights crossroad fights etc. I think hes rightfully slated for some of his ppv cards and his insistence on all thing ppv. But in terms of his matchmaking its actually pretty decent. He doesnt get them all right but hes miles ahead of frank. Frank struggles to even get opponents for his guys nowadays. In comparison to Eddie frank comes across like he's just starting out. Or in honesty looks to me like the guy won't invest for fear he,ll lose money. You can't be a serious promoter and then sell tickets for shows where his fighters have no opponents.

Even the guys he's got...the gypsies in billy Joe and fury regularly bring the sport into disrespute. I like them both tbh...but they bring more hassle than its worth half the time. Hes been desperate for years. just seems to be getting worse for him...even with the BT deal. I m not sure he's even signing good deals for himself anymore. The only reason anyone decents signing with frank is because their dictating terms to him.

He lost the power a long time ago since then its been all down hill. Needing to give it up now. Let someone younger take over. Concentrate on the quality small shows...that are policed well etc. These shows look too big for him. Massive fights going on in the crowd etc. Just cares about money professionalism went out the window a long time ago.

People can criticize hearn about things but its night and day compared to frank.

I'm prety sure Frank still loves the game and would love to retire into a back seat role like Barry Hearn. I think his problem is that there doesn't seem to be anyone that can take over. I don't think he sees George or Francis capable or they would have been more in the eye of media by now I would have thought.

Its probably a case of employing people outwith the family. I still think his biggest problem is hes still trying to compete with hearn. Would be much better conceding first place and concentrate on slowly building the guys hes got the right way.

Cut the stable back and concentrate all his resources on them. Honestly I,d get rid of fury and billy Joe if I was him. Their fans appear to bring a bad element to his events everytime. They also don't help themselves in the media. Neither all that entertaining to watch either and Tyson probably has everything in his favor with the deal hes signed anyway. Between frampton, Warrington, the young guys franks got coming through etc. I,d just sign another big name or two and concentrate his cards around a small stable.

Should have done that in the first place. When it became apparent he was never winning against sky/hearn.

Flanagan v Hooker wasn't a bad fight tbf, I've seen Flanagan in far worse fights. The judging was suspect for a SD but at least the right guy won so I'm not gonna complain too much. The rest of the undercard was alright but nothing spectacular and he can certainly pick up on this.

Last year when they had a great run to start it was because the undercards were delivering quality fights like Smyle v Williams, Nurse v Hughes, Ward v Dickens, Corcoran v Ekundayo etc

Sure, most are domestic level but they were well matched near 50/50s and that's what we wanna see. Names v no hopers always bring a card down.

Fury v Seferi was more of an event than a fight but it ended up farcical so you have a fight like headlining and the undercard isn't explosive, it's gonna have a negative effect

Hopefully they learn from it and improve but I wouldn't be calling them dead on the back of an event that likely did very well in ticket sales and views but didn't set the world on fire.

Just about to post about that Flanagan-Hooker fight. I thought it was a cracking little fight that. Very entertaining. Hooker edged it for me but Flanagan did some lovely work in patches.

This board is massively pro Hearn, anti Warren.

Plenty to talk about from last night with Fury,Gorman,Flanagan,Metcalf,Murray v Garcia being announced.Hooker’s arrival at world level,Tyson’s condition,Charlo v Trout,Santa Cruz v Mares,Crawford v Horn etc and yet the top of the board is always anti Warren and pro Hearn rubbish on repeat.

Listen promoters do good and they do bad.Last night was a big success.Anyone with half a brain knew last night would be Joey Abell x 2,the fact is Warren has Fury on his books doing 20,000 at the MEN,Frampton and Warrington doing stadiums and fighting for world titles and BJS and Zolani Tete still holding the WBO.
Liam Smith fights for the world title next month and Jack Catterall should soon.He has promising prospects in Dubois,Gorman,Yarde and Garner and has just signed a long term extension with BT.

He was miles behind Matchroom, absolutely miles and that takes time to recover. He has no route to the GB squad like Hearn so finds rough diamonds instead.Since last year he has had Degale,Selby,Frampton and Fury signed up to his cards and is making progress.

This constant dull tittle tattle on here is mind numbingly dull and represents the lowest common denominator within boxing fans.Frank has done some good this year and some bad, thats promoting but guess what you don’t have to have a favourite and you could just enjoy the shows for what they are and support both their success’s at world level.

This man knows his onions and has an iq over 70.

Objectivity with boxing fans has dissapeared.I watch a card and then come on the internet and I can’t believe I watched the same event.

I also think Fish 1970's suit failing to get his own promotion on his own TV Channel is really taking the urine out of those few diehard Boxnation subscribers.

Is he planning to close Boxnation?

The best shows I have seen over the past 5 years were some of Fat Mick's on channel 5 and Russian cards on Boxnation. Sadly both are deceased now.

Not really buying this tbh. I don't even know who hooker is...tells you all you need to know about warrens promoting. Tbf I think he's recently just signed him....but its the same story with a lot of warrens guys. Their not promoted properly. Warrington fought a guy that looked severely weight drained in Selby. Fury fight was a non event. Massive fights in the crowd kicking off....frank under spending on the security again. Degale fought an easy picking gone wrong. His prospects rarely have opponents named till about a week before. Their usually always hopeless opponents as well. Can't get frampton a meaningful fight. Hes trying away and making progress but its becoming more apparent as time goes on hes actually out his depth....trying to promote so many fighters at once.

His flagship fighters in billy Joe and fury more hassle than their worth. Constant pull outs. Canceling shows. Guys not getting paid. Struggling to get decent opponents. Milking belts etc. The guy does barely anything right. Hes needing to cut back till he gets things right.

Genuinely is like we,re back in the 70,s with frank. Its not even really his fault tbh. He's a tryer and knows boxing but hes trying to be too big but getting everything wrong ATM.

Needs to get peoples faith in him back. Would do well to get rid of fury and billy Joe. Get people wanting to go see a night of boxing with a good atmosphere. A card that won't get canceled. With opponents known before tickets are sold etc. That should be a giving anyway. Till he can at least get that right theres no point trying to go bigger.

He has just fought Nonito Donaire.

As for your thoughts on Hooker.....
