andy lee v. brian vera....manny steward was telling everyone that andy lee would be mw champ by the end of the year even right before the fight. good exposure on espn....completely backfired. that was still one of the more shocking results ive seen in a while.

in a way, pav/miranda was as well. miranda was supposed to be the main challenger to jt's throne. put pav/miranda on the jt undercard so miranda can up his exposure by ko'ing this undefeated creampuff. miranda was talking **** about and to jt the entire time. no one, miranda nor jt's camp saw it coming. the result of the night was supposed to be miranda ko'ing pav and jt making quick work of spinks to set up a major mw showdown. instead, miranda gets iced and jt squeaks by spinks (another van hoy questionable scorecard)

edit to note that those tags are pretty funny

Well feather fisted is an exaggeration but Johnson isn't a puncher, he hits solidly but isn't known for his power. This was probably one of the reasons Jones team thought it would be an easy comeback fight.

jones cherry-picking johnson is a great example rico.

in johnsons previous 18 fights before he fought roy, he had a record of 7-9-2 :rofl:rofl:rofl

roy cherrypicked feather fists johnson for an easy title win and then got his glass jaw smashed to smitherines

this is what happens to fighters who have no chin, no heart, and no plan B :deal

This has to be at te top of the list...

Also, Margarito ran like hell from a Williams rematch, and more money to fight Shane. And everyone was talking about how washed up Shane was, and how he could possibly get hurt badly...

Kaboom! Down goes Margarito! Damn I lost a lot of chips betting with the ESB conventional wisdom.. buncha ***gots!

and on this pic you posted I wonder how Leonard looks much younger, or it was a pic of him from the 80's:p
