Not nessercerially the hattons fault. khans will have been paying the hattons a fee to put on the undercard. from that there would be a budget. if the budget could pay for 6 proper title fights and higher then they would have got that, and if 2 had withdrawn they would have been replaced.

I think most of the current PPV fights should be free on sky sports...Ive always though its a rip off that they charge around £20 a month for sky sports, and then have the nerve to charge £15 extra for pish like Khans fights or the notorious Haye v Harrsion fight...theyre not always even on at a reasonable hour either.

That PPV (or any of his PPVs) wouldnt have been worth £5....if theyre intent on selling it, they should approach premier sports and not try to charge more than £7.50 for it. What are the chances it'll be sold to ITV or channell 5 at this point? Surely from an exposure point of view they'll reach a much bigger audience and i'd guess they'd be able to cough up the same amount of (or more) cash as SS3 will.

Its more restricted viewing on SS3, BT Vision and top up TV are unable to view Sky Sports 3.... ITV wouldn't take it any how, Britain's got talent starts

I don't reckon we'll see Khan fighting in the UK for a while now.

the person i feel sorry for is his new conditioner. No way he's getting paid now!

This is very true and it's sort of flown under the radar. I didn't make a big deal of it in the piece but, as I understand it, there were some 'dark forces at work' (copyright Richard Keys) who had f**k all to do with the bill but were trying to spoil it. Not for the first time, I know. Just this time it's succeeded and it's a really high profile one.

Personally I'm glad Macklin isn't fighting as I don't think that necessarily made it PPV worthy.

There was an editorial in last months Boxing Monthly that lambasted Sky for attempting to have the likes of Khan vs McCloskey as a PPV fight.

It meant no disrespect to McCloskey who's a good pro but it put the argument across that 1 big name in a fight, in this case Khan, shouldn't automatically equate to a PPV fight.

Looks like Glyn Leach is indeed Nostradamus

I can't believe more hasn't been made of the rather cruel boxing news this week which is filled with quotes from Khan explaining why he's a SBO fighter.

    its a pisspot fight

    with a pisspot undercard

the fact that it was ppv in the 1st place is laughable

At least Warren is trying to pad his cards out with decent fights, this was doomed from the off

Lol, why do people talk as if Khan will never be a PPV star? People forget he's 23 and had 25 fights. He's just started his career and will be around for a long long time.

This'll be great exposure for Amir. Curious as to how many people tune in compared to if it was on PPV.

What time is the main event going to be at?

Because if it's clashing with El Classico that will do it no favours.

I just checked, it's 2200, but I don't know whether that is in Spain or the UK. I think that it was 2000 or 2100 last time. Khan's fight should be at around 2200.
